Family, Social and Musical Hindi play, ‘Mann Rangiya’

SAAVM Theatre Group’s Family, social and musical Hindi play, ‘Mann Rangiya’ is scheduled to open on 9 January 2016 at Rang Sharda, Bandra (West) at 8.00 PM. Anand Mudra is presenting the play. The writer- director-Music director is Sushil Singh.

Hindi play, Mann Rangiya (1)

Play is inspired by Bharatmuni’s Natyashastra and displays new age feelings of humans. Feelings like anger, fear, and happiness are shown in Eyes. Rangla played by Sushil Singh and Rangli played by Nancy Thakkar go to village fair. Then they go to a Nawab’s palace and see statues with different feelings and they start talking to them with the help of Samay in fictitious manner. Nine stories are told. Mann Rangiya is musical presentation through Drama and poetry with content of emotional and social behavior of human being, it creates an awareness and relationship of conscious and sub conscious mind and its perspective of action-reaction, and it’s a thought provoking social drama.

Sushil Singh, the Founder & Director of SAAVM has been associated with movies and theatre since 25 years. For past 10 years, Saavm has been conducting plays and workshops.  Sushil has taught finer aspects of acting to Hrithik Roshan, Arjun Rampal,Mandana Karimi and Fardeen Khan to name a few.

“Human beings are very influenced with the emotions which they are not aware of. Hence they commit crime and fall in love or they do good and bad things. We are trying to portray that in the play,” says Sushil Singh.

The play actors are Sushil Singh, Nancy Thakkar, Pankaj Mishra, Jagdish Bhosle, Rituka Tandon,  Madhumita Kumar, Shikha Chhabra, Priya Shrestha, Anuradha Shabadi, Rammnik Maan, Mohammad Mohsin, Abhimanyu Aggarwal, Amith Nirpal, Haider Ali, Sabar Kashyap, Aanand Seth and others. This is the third show of the play in Mumbai. After this, they will perform in cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Allahabad, Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad, etc.
