Mumbai, December 18, 2024 : The MET Institute of Management (MET IOM), Mumbai redefined the spirit of innovation and problem-solving as they won the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 and triumphed in the Grand Finale of the coveted innovation tournament. The Finale of the Software Edition was hosted at Belagavi, Karnataka with 26 participating teams on December 11 and 12, in which Team ‘Manthan 1’, Master of Management Studies (MMS) students from MET IOM, Mumbai emerged victorious competing in a 36-hour coding Hackathon.
For the unversed, SIH is a premier nationwide initiative designed to engage students in solving some of the most pressing challenges faced in everyday life and provides a dynamic platform for students to develop and showcase their creative solutions to real-world problems.
The hackathon also aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application by encouraging students to think critically and innovatively. The MET IOM team (Manthan 1) successfully tackled a challenging problem statement from the Ministry of Law and Justice. Their solution focused on simplifying and gamifying the learning process for key aspects of the Indian Constitution, including the Preamble, Fundamental Rights (Part 3), Directive Principles of State Policy (Part 4), and Fundamental Duties (Part 4A). The innovative platform they developed gears toward to make constitutional literacy engaging and accessible to citizens.
The team developed innovative solutions, creating two main games and four mini-games to make learning engaging and impactful. The main games, Samvidhan Manthan, a 3D role-playing game with immersive storytelling, and Samvidhan Mandal, a digital board game exploring concepts of law, rights, and imprisonment, captivated the judges. The mini-games, including Shasn, a monopoly-style game on constitutional concepts; Snakes & Ladders (Beginner) and Snakes & Ladders (Advanced), featuring MCQs of varying difficulty levels; and Samvidhan Explorer, a 2D animated game, provided a creative and interactive learning experience.
The Chairman of Mumbai Educational Trust, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal, honored the team for their innovative contributions to education and technology. During the felicitation ceremony held at MET Mumbai, Mr. Bhujbal applauded the team for their creativity and commitment, highlighting their transformative approach to technology-driven learning.
“The students’ efforts resonate with MET’s mission to nurture innovation and academic excellence. This remarkable victory highlights MET Institute of Management’s commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving among its students,” he said.
The team’s journey through the competition involved three rigorous rounds of evaluation– the first being the assessment of the originality of their idea, research, and progress in game development. The second round focused on improvements made based on judges’ feedback while the final round evaluated the market readiness and scalability of their solution. The innovative solutions created by the MET team not only addressed the problem statement but also showcased the transformative potential of gamification in learning.
Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi interacted with all young innovators at the SIH via video conferencing. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that the India of today can progress at a fast pace with ‘sabka prayas’ or everyone’s effort and that the occasion was a prime example of the same.
The MET Mumbai team included Yash Parmar, Vidisha Ghosh, Anish Kumar Singh, and Om Khattar (MMS 2023-25), along with Vivek Pawar and Manas Jadhav (MMS 2024-26), under the mentorship of Dr. Manmeet Barve, Associate Professor, MET IOM, and Mr. Shailesh Sargade, Assistant Professor, MET IOM, that became one of the top five finalists. The team also received invaluable support and direction from Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM, whose visionary leadership played a pivotal role in their success.
In the SIH 2024 edition, the tournament witnessed 86,000+ Teams’ participation at the institute level and 49,000+ student teams were recommended for the national round to solve 254 problem statements.

मुम्बई। 13 दिसम्बर 2024, ओटीटी और वेब सीरीज के इस दौर में एक और बेहतरीन वेब सीरीज़ “कठपुतली” की ऑफिशियल घोषणा मुम्बई के क्लासिक क्लब में हुए एक भव्य समारोह में की गई। महिला सशक्तिकरण के सब्जेक्ट पर आधारित इस सीरीज में रितिका कुमावत ने सेंट्रल किरदार निभाया है। सीरीज़ के निर्माता राजीव कुमार, दीपक बी वर्मा और अब्दुर्रहमान हैं। निर्देशक पंकज कपूर और संगीतकार इस्माइल दरबार व विवेक माहुनकर हैं। सभी मेहमानों द्वारा दीप प्रज्वलित किया गया, फिर राष्ट्रगान के बाद कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत हुई। ऎक्ट्रेस रितिका कुमावत ने पुलिस अधिकारी की भूमिका निभाई है और वर्दी में उन्होंने इस कार्यक्रम में एक दृश्य के साथ धांसू एंट्री मारी।
निर्माता दीपक बी वर्मा ने कहा कि कठपुतली महिलाओं पर होने वाले अत्याचारों पर बात करती है। कुप्रथा के नाम पर महिलाओं को समाज मे कठपुतली की तरह इस्तेमाल किया जाता है जबकि वे कठपुतली नहीं हैं, उनके दिल मे भी जज़्बात हैं एहसास हैं। यह सीरीज़ महिलाओं के ऐसे ही दर्द को दर्शाती है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ अभियान चला रहे हैं। इस सीरीज के माध्यम से हम सब सरकार तक यह सन्देश पहुंचाना चाहते हैं कि समाज मे औरतों को महज एक कठपुतली न समझा जाए।
अभिनेत्री रितिका कुमावत ने कहा कि कठपुतली का हिस्सा बनकर मैं बहुत उत्साहित हूं। यह काफी चुनौतीपूर्ण भूमिका है जिसके लिए हम सब काफी तैयारियां कर रहे हैं। मैं दीपक वर्मा सर की आभारी हूँ कि उन्होंने मुझे इस सीरीज में केंद्रीय भूमिका निभाने का अवसर दिया। सीरीज में और भी कई नामी गिरामी ऐक्टर्स हैं जिनके साथ शूटिंग शुरू करने को लेकर काफी एक्साइटेड हूँ।
निर्माता दीपक बी वर्मा ने बताया कि इस सीरीज की शूटिंग 20 दिसम्बर से चौमू सामोद, मेहर कला गांव, जयपुर, राजस्थान में शुरू होने जा रही है। सीरीज में रितिका के अलावा जैकी श्रॉफ, अमित लेखवानी, पंकज कपूर इत्यादि नजर आएंगे। कई ओटीटी प्लेटफार्म से हमारी बातचीत जारी है जल्द ही इसकी रिलीज़ को लेकर भी हम आपको सूचित कर देंगे।

दिल्ली के ऐतिहासिक रीगल सिनेमा में आज ज्ञानलक्ष्मी प्रोडक्शन ने “रब मेरा” गाने को मिली अपार सफलता पर एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस का आयोजन किया गया. गौरतलब है की “रब मेरा” गाने ने मात्र एक सप्ताह में ही बाईस लाख से अधिक लोगों से अधिक दिलों को छू लिया है। इस गाने को इसी माह की दो तारीख को रिलीज किया गया था. पिता-पुत्र के भावनात्मक प्रेम पर आधारित इस गाने में 7 वर्षीय मो. मुजतबा ने पुत्र की शानदार भूमिका निभाई है और दानिश अली ने पिता की। इस गाने के निर्माता निदेशक रणवीर गहलोत है और सहनिर्माता मोहम्मद मुर्तज़ा हैं. इस एल्बम के डायरेक्टर गुरूदेव के अनेजा हैं और तकनीकी निदेशक मुकेश टम्टा हैं.
ज्ञानलक्ष्मी प्रोडक्शन ने शार्ट फिल्मों से अपनी यात्रा शुरू की। ‘देश बदल रहा है’, ‘वामांगी’, ‘अर्धांगिनी’ आदि लघु फिल्में रिलीज की गईं। इसके बाद सन 2019 में धारा 370 पर आधारित एक सीरीज “सीक्रेट फाइल” रॉ ऑफिसर आर.के.यादव रिलीज की गई, जिसे अभूतपूर्व सफलता मिली। लघु फिल्मों के बाद ज्ञानलक्ष्मी प्रोडक्शन ने म्यूजिक एल्बम की दुनिया में कदम रखा। “मोहब्बत के अलफ़ाज”, “चंगे लोग”, “गुस्ताखियाँ”, “भुला सको तो कहो” और अब “रब मेरा” जैसे गाने रिलीज किए गए हैं.
इस अवसर पर जहां एक और पेपरस्टोन म्यूजिक के निदेशक वाइन अरोड़ा, रीगल सिनेमा के मालिक विशाल चौधरी, चैतन्य चौधरी, रीगल बिल्डिंग वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष योगेश मलिक, ओबीसी कमेटी दिल्ली सरकार के माननीय सदस्य मनीष यादव के साथ-साथ कई गणमान्य लोग मौजूद थे वहीं दूसरी और बॉलीवुड अदाकारा प्रिया सिंह और एक्टर राहुल बूचर, जो रामनगरी अयोध्या में राम की भूमिका निभाते हैं मौजूद थे. गाने के बाल कलाकार मो. मुजतबा भारतीय विद्या भवन मेहता विद्यालय स्कूल में कक्षा दो का छात्र हैं उसके स्कूल की दो शिक्षिकायें क्रमशः नेहा शर्मा व श्वेता शर्मा भी वहां उपस्थित रही और अपने शिष्य की सफलता पर बहुत खुश नज़र आईं.
रब मेरा गाने के निर्देशक गुरूदेव के अनेजा ने बताया कि पिता पुत्र के प्रेम पर आधारिक इस गाने के लिए हमें एक ऐसे बच्चे की तलाश थी जो इस भूमिका के साथ पूरा न्याय कर सके. मो. मुजतबा नाम के एक नन्हे बच्चे ने इस भूमिका को बखूबी निभाया. मुजतबा ने पहली बार कैमरे का सामना किया, मुझे यकीन नहीं हो रहा था कि ये बच्चा पहली बार कोई किरदार निभा रहा है. इस गाने के सहनिर्माता मोहम्मद मुर्तज़ा ने कहा, ये गाना ठीक-ठाक रहेगा ये तो मैंने सोचा था मगर कुछ ही घंटों में ये लाखों दिलों के तार छूँ लेगा, इसकी कल्पना भी मैंने नहीं कि थी. ये अब हमारी पूरी टीम के लिए एक टॉनिक का काम करेगा और हम अपना अगला प्रोजेक्ट एक नए उत्साह के साथ शुरू करेंगे. इस अवसर पर पेपरस्टोन के मालिक वाइन अरोड़ा ने कहा कि अब तक माँ-बेटे या माँ-बेटी को लेकर तमाम गाने हमारे सामने आये हैं. मगर यहाँ रणवीर गहलोत जी की सोच कुछ हटकर थी उन्होंने पिता व पुत्र के भावनात्मक प्यार को इस एल्बम में उडेला है यही कारण है कि रातोंरात ये गाना सुपरहिट हो गया. ज्ञानलक्ष्मी प्रोडक्शन के तकनिकी निदेशक मुकेश टम्टा ने बताया कि मुझे लग रहा था इसकी सूटिंग में कम से कम दो से तीन दिन लगेंगे ही, मगर सिर्फ कुछ ही घंटों में हमने इसे शूट कर लिया. ये सब हमारे कलाकारों की सटीक अदाकारी से सम्भव हो सका.
ज्ञानलक्ष्मी प्रोडक्शन के निर्माता रणवीर गहलोत ने इस अवसर पर अपनी पूरी टीम व इसके कलाकारों को बधाई दी और भविष्य में भी लीक से हटकर कुछ सोचने व करने को ही अपना उद्देश्य बताया. अपने बाल कलाकार की एक्टिंग से गदगद होकर उन्होंने मुजतबा को भविष्य में बॉलीवुड का सितारा बताया और पिता की भूमिका निभाने वाले दानिश अली की सधी अदाकारी की उन्होंने दिल खोलकर प्रशंसा की. “बचपन” फ़िल्म की घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि इसकी सूटिंग गुरूदेव के अनेजा के निर्देशन में दिसंबर माह में शुरू हो जाएगी और इसके सभी कलाकारों का चुनाव कर लिया गया है.

Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in association with the Hopebelt and WHT Now Foundations, recently conducted a powerful and impactful panel discussion on “Anti-Cyber Bullying and Harassment” at the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) campus. The event aimed to raise awareness and equip students with tools to tackle cyberbullying and online harassment, growing issues that significantly affect the youth.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, initiated the discussion with a thought-provoking statement on the dual nature of technological advances. “Every discovery and invention have two sides of the coin. While these advancements have brought incredible convenience to our lives, they also come with certain side effects. The internet and social media are no exception, creating both opportunities and vulnerabilities,” he said.
The panel featured esteemed speakers from various fields, each contributing a unique perspective to the discussion:Ruhi Rohini Hak, Founder of Hopebelt, highlighted real-life cases of cyber harassment and its grave consequences, including the tragic impact on young lives. She emphasized the importance of being resilient and overcoming such online challenges.
Neeti Goel, Founder of WHT Now Foundation, discussed the foundation’s initiatives to remove harmful elements from society, focusing on spreading awareness and combating harassment in various forms.
Trupti Bhoir, a renowned film actor and director, spoke about the importance of self-esteem and self-confidence. She urged students to remain vigilant and cautious about their own actions online, emphasizing personal responsibility as a key defense.
Dr. Nivedita Shreyas, Co-Founder of WHT Now Foundation, elaborated on the role of the call counseling center run by the foundation. She shared how the center offers youth support in challenging times, reinforcing that help is available for those who need it.
Akshat Khetan, Founder of AU Corporate Legal Advisor Service Limited, provided a legal perspective, explaining the legal recourse available for victims of cyber harassment. His insights bolstered students’ confidence in standing up against online abuse.
Phylicia Singh, a national youth leader associated with the foundation, encouraged students to share their experiences and stand united against harassment, inspiring others to come forward and break the silence.
Following the panel discussion, an interactive Q&A session allowed students to engage directly with the panelists, raising pertinent questions and deepening their understanding of these issues. The event concluded with Dr. Sandeep Marwah presenting each dignitary with lifetime membership in the International Film and Television Club of AAFT, honoring their contributions to this important cause.
