CHHOTA BHEEM HAS A BRAND NEW AVATAAR FOR HIS UPCOMING FILM CHHOTA BHEEM- Himalayan Adventure
India’s favourite laddoo loving superhero, Chhota Bheem is the country’s most beloved cartoon character and the apparel, toys, games, comic books, stationery and other merchandise is a testimony to the Chhota Bheem’s popularity.
This winter, Chhota Bheem will be seen in a completely new and stylish avataar in Chhota Bheem – Himalayan Adventure, the official trailer for which was recently released.
The storyline follows Bheem to the snow capped Himalayan Mountains where he will not only enjoy some snow filled adventures but also take on the evil dacoit, Hidimbak. In keeping with the plot of the film, Chhota Bheem’s character was given a stylish new look and a lot of research went into this. The team who worked on the film even visited the Himalayas to study local customs and traditions in order to breathe life into the script.
Talking about the new look, Hyderabad based, Rajiv Chilaka, CEO, Green Gold Animation and the creator of Chhota Bheem said, “Children have a strong sense of loyalty to their preferences. Bheem is their trusted companion so any form of experiment with the character needs days of planning and research. We stuck to the colour scheme, which is earthy but gave Chhota Bheem a new look that fits his mountainous journey. He will be seen wearing warm clothes, jackets, breeches, caps, skiing goggles, and off course his skiing gear. We took more than a year of research and back end development to arrive at this look along with the storyline”.
Not only will Bheem’s friends, Chutki, Raju, Jaggu, Kalia, Dholu and Bholu join him on this Himalayan Adventure but they will also have their own jacket, scarf and warm mitten clad looks.
Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure- Synopsis
Chhota Bheem and his friends set out for a vacation to Manali where they intend to play adventurous sports in the snow clad mountains of the Himalayas. In Manali, the powerful & conniving Hidimbak has an evil master plan to loot the kingdom and usurp the throne. He is ably assisted by his smart nephew Ghatto and a group of strong goons.
As Bheem and his friends enjoy the snow games and learn to ski under the guidance of Sardar Negi, Hidimbak creates a scare again in the kingdom and the King of Manali, fed up of Hidimbak, commands to capture him at any cost. His most trusted soldier, Dhiru, and other guards try very hard but every time he escapes thanks to his super skiing skills and the brilliance of Ghatto.

Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure – Cast
Chhota Bheem: Bheem a 9 year old, brave, strong, intelligent, adventurous and fun loving boy. Bheem loves food, his weakness being Tun Tun Masi’s delicious Laddoos, which gives him additional strength. Even though only a kid, Bheem is stronger than most men. A Robin Hood of Dholakpur, Bheem is always to the rescue of the poor and needy.
Chutki: Chutki is a 7 year old girl, graceful and intelligent. She is Bheem’s closest friend and loves to accompany Bheem on his adventures. She even helps him steal ‘ladoo’s from her mother’s sweet shop. Everybody loves Chutki for her generous, sweet and happy nature.
Raju: Raju is a cute 4 year old, who totally looks up to Bheem and idolises him. He follows Bheem everywhere and loves wrestling with him. Bheem is very protective of Raju. Raju’s rivals are the fumbling Dholu and Bholu, who like picking on him. Raju is extremely brave and tough for his age (like Arjuna) and is one of the very few children who is not afraid of Kalia Pahelwan. Raju’s father is a soldier in the king’s army and Raju dreams of becoming the commander of the king’s army some day. His strength, his is a fast runner.
Hidimbak:The villain of the movie. He is sinister, ruthless and utterly selfish. He has just one motive – to rule over Himachal Kingdom! And he won’t stop to achieve that goal. He is the best on Ski’s and has a skill of Sking backwords- a trait unknown to any other skiier in manali.
Jaggu:Jaggu is Bheem’s friend. Jaggu is a talking monkey and is of great help to Bheem whenever they are in the jungle. He supports Bheem and always accompanies him in his adventures. Jaggu is clever monkey with a great sense of humour. Jaggu and Bheem are always having fun, be it in exploring forests or in helping out people with their chores. He loves tricking Dholu, Bholu and Kalia. A favourite amongst the children as he always entertains and makes them laugh.
Kalia Pehalwan: Kalia or Kalia Pehalwan, is a 10 year old boy. His character is based on the Legendary Duryodhyan and hence, wicked by nature. He is bigger than Bheem and dislikes him. Since he is jealous of Bheem’s popularity and strength, Kalia always tries to make Bheem look bad and to land him in trouble. He picks on children younger and weaker then him to prove he is strong. All the children fear him because of his mean ways and huge body which, Kalia uses to his advantage. Kalia has two silly followers, Dholu and Bholu, who either sometime help him in his plans or completely abandon him.
Talking about the new film, Samir Jain, producer added, “Bheem is our star character and anything around him becomes very special for us. It also means more hard work where we have to continually reinvent and challenge ourselves. We wanted to come up with a film with a winter theme. This is a holiday and festive season so we really wanted to scale up Bheem’s adventures to give our audiences something fresh. The setting is perfect and now we can’t wait for the film to release”.
Audiences can watch Chhota Bheem in an action packed and thrilling mountain adventure when Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure releases on January 8th, 2016.
