A  VETERAN AND VERSATILE FILMMAKER  ABDUL SATTAR COMING UP WITH HIS MOST AMBITIOUS VENTURE…. ATAL FAISLA

A self-made man and a multi-talented personality, Abdul Sattar is engaged in the entertainment world since decades. A  prolific writer, lyricist, producer and director, who’s maiden venture started in the year 1983, titled ‘Ek Baar Chale Aao’. The film starred lucky pair of those days Lt. Farookh  Shaikh and Deepti Naval supported by strong character artists like Girish Karnad, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Asrani, Lt. Nadira and Kajal Kiran. EK  BAAR CHALE AAO, was made under the banner of ROLLEX MOOVEE’, produced by ABDUL SATTAR and directed by JAGDISH SIDHANA. The legendary singers of that period had given playback for the film’s album which includes Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Mahendra Kapoor and Nitin Mukesh, penned by Anjaan, Sameer and M. Iqbal Khan and set to tune by Chand Pardeshi.The movie was well received with a  positive response  which encouraged Sattar to continue the production further.

  

Somehow due to some ill-starred and  inevitable circumstances, Sattar  couldn’t continue making films and diversified towards business of Building and developing construction etc. However after a gap of ten years, once again Sattar resume his production activities with a movie called TUJHE NAHIN CHHOUDUNGA. The film was made on a large canvas with top names of Bollywood such as Akbar Khan, Zeenat Aman, Ambrish Puri, Sujit Kumar Suresh Oberoi, Shafi Inamdar, Shekhar Suman, Swapna, Goga Kapoor and Jaikishan. The film had music by  C. P. Bhati and the lyrics were penned by Hasan Kamal and Abdul Sattar and the singers in the movie were Lt. Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Amit Kumar, Alka Yagnik, Mohd. Aziz and Anuradha Paudwal. Tujhe Nahin Chhodunga was written and directed by Sattar’s younger brother Lt. Iqbal Khan. The film was released in 1993, which also fared well, made under the same banner ‘ROLEX MOOVEE’.

         

In the next year 1994, Sattar turned director and the movie was ‘IN INDIA TODAY’ which was also produced by him. The movie had fresh faces Anil Kochar, Malti, Meghana Shrivastava, Hasan Khan, Sirwani Goswami including stalwarts Lt. Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Bharat Kapoor, Feroz Irani and Ali Khan. The film had lyrics by Shail Chaturvedi and Paras Budhwani and it were rendered by Mohd. Aziz, Suresh Wadkar, Sharon Prabhakar, Sarika Kapoor, Anuradha Paudwal and others. It had musical score by C.P. Bhati.

Now after a gap of almost 15 years, ABDUL SATTAR has come up with yet another Bollywood commercial movie titled ATAL FAISLA. The film has some fresh leading pair with some known artists of the Hindi film industry. The movie is made under the new banner ASS PRODUCTIONS based on a true story of desert.

The film has a village backdrop of nineties where a boy falls in love with a girl who belongs to rival village. Due to parents and villagers pressure the girl has to marry a person from her own village and caste, but the girl detects her husband is in-potent, consequently her life is ruined. The situation worsens when the bride is forced to make love with grooms elder brothers in order to conceive for which she confronts and refuse to fulfill her in laws demands. Finally, how she overcomes the hurdles and unites with her boyfriend is the basic plot of the film.

Talking about  the movie writer-producer-director Abdul Sattar Illuminates ‘We have worked very hard on the film as the script is very unique and powerful, having village atmosphere. Atal Faisla is a mass entertainer with high voltage drama, hard-hitting dialogues, mind-blowing action sequences and melodious music is the highlight of the film ‘ I always make movies related to  social issues, blended with love Sattar informed’.  At present, Attal, Faisla is on editing table and the production house is making all efforts to release the movie as soon as possible.

Being a social evil theme, film has chances to make the rounds of National-International Film Festivals.
