Add to it the allied sectors of entertainment, losses due to piracy and the umpteen opportunities to market and scale Indian films on a global scale. The potential is rightly, nothing short of a valuation 10 times the above said amount.
The huge numbers are a clear indication of the possibilities India’s film and entertainment sector offers. One that needs dollops of cash infusion, as well as strategic partners who can shore up its pre-production, production, distribution and film exhibition on par with international standards.
The Indywood Billionaires Club, an innovative initiative launched during the 3rd edition of the prestigious Indywood Film Carnival in 2017, has set the wheels rolling to this regard. By already raising investments of over Rs. 3,000 crores from nearly 20 Indian Billionaires based out of United Arab Emirates, Europe and Asia-Pacific, IBC’s end game is to secure investments to the tune of $10 billion from 2,000 billionaire Non-resident Indians and companies over a period of few years and direct the investment to the multi-billion dollar cinema economy.

NRI businessman Sohan Roy, who is consistently featured in Forbes Middle East’s list of Top 50 business owners, is the brainchild behind IBC. A serial entrepreneur and Hollywood filmmaker of Indian origin, his company Aries Group is the chief executing agency of IBC’s ambitious plan. “India is blessed with talented actors and technicians and our film industry should make movies which appeal to the international audience. The movie industry will fetch huge gains if we increase the number of international projects by using advanced technology and world-wide distribution”, said Mr. Roy.
Of the $10 billion to be raised as investment $5 billion will be spent on theatres, $2 billion on studios, $1 billion on movie production, $1 billion on equipment manufacturing and $1 billion on talent schools/agencies. Project Indywood, of which IBC is part, has already lined up plans to put up 10,000 4K projection multiplex screens, 100,000 2K/4K projection home cinemas, 8K/4K film studios, 100 animation/VFX studios and film schools adhering to international standards across the country.
IBC Initiatives
According to a report prepared by Deloitte for Indywood, the Indian entertainment industry is expected to grow at 11 per cent CAGR reaching $3.7 billion by 2020. Understandably in the coming years, the volume of foreign direct investment will play a decisive role in conceiving and implementing mega projects. And this is where the IBC comes in.
Set to include over 100 Indian billionaires into its fold by the end of this year, the Indywood Billionaires Club will also educate prospective investors on effectively tapping opportunities in the growing Indian film and entertainment sector comprising movies, animation and graphics. Mr. Roy further added that the Indian film industry should come forward to conceive and implement big budget international projects instead of following clichéd subjects and treatment patterns.
The Indywood Film Carnival (IFC) is being seen as the one stop confluence to bring together the industry’s present and future stakeholders. The annual event will be having its 4th edition in Hitex Hyderabad between December 1 and 5, and is expecting the presence of 5,000 business delegates from across 100 countries. Business to the tune of Rs 500 crores is expected to be generated by way of signing up of big budget movie projects, co-production ventures and B2B agreements. Indywood Billionaires Meet, Indywood Academy Awards, Indywood Telly Awards, Indywood Fashion Premier and All Lights India International Film Festival are the major attractions of IFC 2018.

‘माई के लालो’ से घबराई सरकार, भोपाल सम्मलेन की अनुमति रद्द की।
सवर्णो के तेज़ चल रहे आंदोलन के साथ ही ‘अखिल भारतीय संतजन परमार्थ सोसाइटी’ द्वारा एक बड़ा स्वाभिमान सम्मलेन १८ सितम्बर को भोपाल के शाहजहानी पार्क में होना तय हुआ था ।
इस सम्मलेन में साधु संतो द्वारा पूर्व से चली आ रही कुछ मांगो को लेकर शांतिपूर्वक ‘स्वाभिमान सम्मलेन’ आयोजित किया जाना था। इस कार्यक्रम की जोर शोर से चर्चायें सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने की खबर थी। ये देख कर शायद प्रशासन ने हाल ही में इस सम्मलेन की मंजूरी को निरस्त कर दिया है।
कथित सम्मलेन मे मध्यप्रदेश के जाने माने संत श्री रामगिरि महाराज जी व आक्रामक भाषणों के लिए जाने जाते विख्यात वक्ता दीपक सारस्वत के सम्मलित होने की खबर थी, साथ ही हज़ारो की संख्या में साधु संत सम्मलित होने वाले थे। प्रशासन द्वारा इस कार्यक्रम को निरस्त करने का वैसे तो कोई औचित्य नहीं दिखाई देता पर आशंका इस बात की जताई जा रही है की इस फैसले से नाराज सवर्ण समाज अब कोई बड़ा क़दम उठा सकता है या ये आंदोलन कोई अलग मोड़ ले सकता है।
कहर का प्रदर्शन 21 सितम्बर से बिहार , झारखण्ड में
सिनेस्टार गौरव झा अभिनीत भोजपुरी फिल्म कहर का भव्य प्रदर्शन 21 सितम्बर से बिहार , झारखण्ड में किया जायेगा। नाथ फिल्म प्रोडक्शन के बैनर तले निर्मित की गई हैरतअंगेज, रोमांच, मारधाड़, रोमांस एवं हास्य से भरपूर यह फिल्म कहर दर्शकों का बहुत मनोरंजन करने वाली है। इस फिल्म का वितरण बिहार, झारखंड में खुशी फिल्म्स के सुबोध कुमार द्वारा किया जा रहा है। फिल्म का ट्रेलर सुप्रसिद्ध म्यूजिक कंपनी एंटरटेन ने यू ट्यूब पर लांच किया था, जिसे बहुत अच्छा रिस्पांस मिला है। इसके पहले फ़िल्म का फर्स्ट लुक जारी किया गया था, जिसमें नायक का रौद्र रूप दिख रहा है। साथ ही सभी कलाकारों को अलग-अलग लुक में दिखाया गया है, जो काफी सस्पेंस पैदा कर रहा है। कहर का ट्रेलर देखकर यह पता चलता है कि यह एक दम ही अलग तरह की फिल्म बनी है, जिसपे जबरदस्त डायलाग के साथ फाडू एक्शन भी दिखाई दे रहा है। कुल मिलाकर यह कह सकते हैं कि यह फिल्म दर्शकों का खूब मनोरंजन करेगी।

After joining hands with Bollywood’s one of the famous actress Aafreen Sidhu, Anant Jog has also roped in the Saazish Sidhu’s realistic hindi feature film Rangraas as an important character. The shooting of the film has already started and will soon reveal the releasing date.
Based on the realistic and realism situations the film revolves around the struggle and survival of a young girl who lives in Mumbai slum area and her journey from Rajasthan to Mumbai. It is completely a family entertainment film which make any girl to connect with the character as it shows all the real emotions, problems and struggle of a slum ladies and their tough survival. Also, in the film the audience will explore the different kind of love emotions that shows the feeling and reality of life instead of filmi love and fairytale romance.
After one of the big name Madhur Bhandarkar, Saazish is the only young director who chooses the genre of realistic films. The other characters of the film will reveal soon and also it will be presented in the Cannes Film Festival 2019.
चौथे नेशन बिल्डर अवार्ड-२०१८, सम्पन्न हुआ।
रोटरी इंडिया लिटरेसी मिशन एवं रोटरी क्लब मुम्बई वेस्ट कोस्ट ने यह लगातार चौथे वर्ष “नेशन बिल्डर अवार्ड” का समारोह, दहिसर के संजीवनी वर्ल्ड स्कूल में सम्पन्न हुआ। इस वर्ष इन्होंने ‘पैन इंडिया’ की तरफ नया कदम उठाया, जिसे प्राध्यापकों, विभाग प्रमुख एवं सीनियर शिक्षकों का भरपूर प्रोत्साहन मिला। ११५ शिक्षकों में से ४५ बेहतरीन शिक्षक का चुनाव पैन इंडिया कैटेगरी के लिए किया गया। १३ शिक्षकों का चयन गवर्नमेंट और गवर्नमेंट ऐडेड स्कूलों से रोटरी इंडिया लिट्रेसीय मिशन के गाइडलाइंस के तहत हुआ। गोरेगाँव, मलाड के प्राइवेट व म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन के विद्यालयों से ५७ शिक्षकों का चयन किया गया।
७० से ज़्यादा मलाड एवं गोरेगाँव के स्कूलों ने इस वर्ष ‘पैन इंडिया’ के समारोह में भाग लिए।
इन्हें सर्टिफिकेट और मैडल से अपने बेहतरीन कार्य के वजह से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।
