Subhash Ghai celebrates 37 yrs of MUKTA ARTS
-Khalnayak and Ram Lakhan team reunites-
Recently the Showman of Bollywood, Subhash Ghai celebrated 37 years of his production house ‘Mukta Arts, which is one of India’s leading entertainment conglomerates and has pioneered many firsts within the Indian entertainment industry. It was a double celebration for the talented director as he celebrated his wedding anniversary and production house’s 37th anniversary on the same day!
The celebration of this joyful moments started by hosting a small ritual pooja at the Iskon Temple in Juhu in the morning, which was attended by film-makers like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Abbas Mastan , lyrics writers Irshaad Kamil and Kumar, producers Manmohan Shetty and Ramesh Taurani and a very close friend Sunil Gavaskar.
At night, a special party was organized by Mrs. Mukta Ghai for his close friends and family at their house in Mumbai. The party was attended by top Bollywood celebrities including Shriram Nene and Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anupam Kher, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Adnan Sami, Sonu Nigam, Rohit Roy, Satish Kaushik , Gulshan Grover, Poonam Shatrughan Sinha , Kush Sinha , Shreyas Talpade, pradeep guha and many such more who were seen having a gala time with each other and rejoicing with drinks and good food till the wee hours of the morning.
The party could easily be called a reunion for the Ram Lakhan and Kalnayak team who were seen in high spirits by clicking selfies, recalling their past memories, having few nostalgic moments and also suggesting their director to make a remake of his epic films like Khalnayak and Karz. Film-makers like Manmohan Shetty, Pradeep Guha, Amar Butala, producer of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and other business associates were also seen at the party adding a business touch to it and discussing about the future prospects of Mukta Arts and Whistling Woods.
The merriment moment got higher as Subhash Ghai along with Mukta Arts MD, Rahul Puri also shared special news on the company, which has greenlit three film projects to be produced next year with big stars and suitable directors, which would go on floor next year and would release by 2017-2018.
“A lot of surprises are to come in 2016 bringing smiles to everyone, we have gone through the excellent and enviable journey for 37 years in producing quality films with its own high and low , have faced biggest and toughest times but nothing shook us in a bad patch of time. Manisha Koiralla the leading actress of Feature film “CHEHERE” which is a modern day classic, directed by Rohit Kaushik, starring Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Divya Dutta, Gulshan Grover, Hrishitta Bhatt and Arya Babbar, expressed her feelings about this film, she said that director Rohit explained her in detail about her character as she is playing a star in yesteryears films which were made in black & white, and when time changed and other actors came in field and she was getting feelings as avoided person, she shifted in UK but still she is in turmoil as she can’t see herself getting aged, she also said Jackie and Gulshan are her one of the best friends she has in Bollywood, she feels extremely relaxed with working them. She wished that audience should see this movie and then they will know what life an actor or actress has to face.
Gulshan Grover said that this film is close to his heart as it contains something unique which everyone will feel it is close to them, everyone were excited. Media also were attracted after hearing its melodious music composed by Jaideep Chowdary.

Japinder Kaur miffed with censor board for muting 63 words in DILLIWAALI ZAALIM GIRLFRIEND
DILLIWAALI ZAALIM GIRLFRIEND has been given a U/A certificate by the censor board after 63 mutes. The mutes include words like ‘saala’ and ‘saali’. This has not gone well with the director of the film, Japinder Kaur.
Says the miffed director, “If there is no thematic issue, I don’t understand the problem in just picking up singular words that are local lingo.”
She further adds, “To bring about any change in rules, we should systematically lay down guidelines with time limits. The censor should inform that films going into going into production now should follow new rules; because they have the space to, not the ones that are already completed and have been in working progress in the last 1-2 years.”

Jackie Shroff: Had a whale of a time playing colourful, fun-loving baddie in DILLIWAALI ZAALIM GIRLFRIEND!
The bindass bhidu actor and good human being to the core, Jackie Shroff is living up his dream these days! Jackie time and again revealed that he always wanted to play a baddie or wicked character on-screen and now he is seen doing the same. He played different grey characters in different movies like AURANGZEB, HAPPY NEW YEAR amongst others.
And now Jackie Shroff will be seen playing a ‘Punjabi Crooked Businessman’ with the shades of comedy for the first time ever on silver screen. With Japinder Kaur’s DILLIWAALI ZAALIM GIRLFRIEND, Jackie is set to surprise his fans with a fun-lighthearted baddie character.
“I always loved playing villainous roles and I have also done in the past in the films like PARINDA, MISSION KASHMIR SWAMI DADA, 100 DAYS, etc…But the kind of grey characters I am playing right now is fun. I had a whale of a time playing a baddie with comic shades for the first time in DILLIWAALI ZALIM GIRLFRIEND. It was hilarious and amazing experience. I love such colourful, fun-loving villains,” said the actor.
When asked about the character of Minocha, which Jackie is said to essay, Japinder said, “When I had decided to cast him in the role of a Punjabi Businessman in DILLIWAALI ZAALIM GIRLFRIEND, a lot of people told me it wasn’t a wise decision. However now that the film is complete the very same people are saying it is one of the best casting they have seen off late.”
