Rabi Art Gallery, Shantiniketan, W.B. a name that is synonymous with quality and innovation in the Indian art scene, is all set to captivate art audiences in Mumbai and beyond with a remarkable art showcase at the Jehangir Art Gallery from 28th May to 3rd June, 2024. This exhibition, which brings together a diverse range of rare artworks by Indian masters ranging from pre-independence to contemporary, presents a great opportunity for collectors and audiences to witness the diversity and complexity of Indian art under one roof.
This show was inaugurated on 28th May 2024 by Padmashree Dr. Prakash Kothari Art Collector in the presence of Prabhakar Kolte Eminent Artist, Prashant Kashikar Managing Director at Mika Engineering India Pvt Ltd., Rtn Khuzem Sakharwala , Co Founder Rotary Club of Mumbai Bravehearts, Ajay Mehta Art Collector, Dr. Jayesh Dakre Nueo Sciencetist and Smart future Counselar, Mahendra Kalantri , Director Acclaim Systems India Pvt Ltd.
Modern Indian art remains the proverbial jewel in the crown for art collectors, with a consistent demand for works by masters. However, finding rare and authentic works has always been a challenge. This exhibition is one such platform that has been curated by Sumanta Paul, the Honorary Advisor of Rabi Art Gallery, showcasing only genuine artworks that he has been meticulously collecting over the past 30 years.
In honor of his late father and well-known artist Rabi Paul, Sumanta Paul founded the Rabi Art Gallery in Shantiniketan in 1996. Rabi Paul was a disciple of Ramkinker Baij and Nandalal Bose. He also worked closely with Satyajit Ray. As a visionary and advocate of Indian art, Sumanta planned multiple art shows around the county. Over the years, Sumanta worked closely with several artists and continued to personally collect their works, building a sizable collection of authentic, rare and remarkable artworks.
This exhibition offers a comprehensive look at two centuries of Indian art practices, encompassing significant trends, artistic interventions, media, and techniques. One can witness the watercolour, tempera, and gouache techniques of the Bengal School incorporated by artists like Ramkinkar Baij, Abanindranath Tagore, Gaganedranath Tagore, Nandlal Bose, Binode Behari Mukherjee, Chittaprosad Bhattacharya, Somnath Hore, Ganesh Pyne, Rabin Mondal, Jamini Roy, and Rabi Paul to the new media and expressions of modern masters and contemporaries like Rabin Mondal, Rabi Paul, Paritosh Sen Nirode Majumdar, Sunil Das, Prokash Karmarkar, Lalu Prasad Shaw, and K. Laxma Goud to veterans like Jogen Chowdhury, Samir Aich, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Sunil Padwal, T. Vaikuntham, and T.V. Santosh.
India’s rich tapestry of spirituality, culture, and tradition has indeed been a wellspring of inspiration for artists throughout history. This exhibition encapsulates the complex artistic practices of Indian art, taking the viewers on a historical tour through the brilliant colours, and gripping narratives and interpretation in diverse mediums.

Noida: Celebrated actor Manoj Bajpayee, renowned for his versatile performances, visited Marwah Studios for the promotion of his upcoming film “Bhaiyya Ji” at Noida Film City. Reflecting on his longstanding relationship with Marwah Studios, Bajpayee reminisced, “I have thirty years of relations with Marwah Studios. My film Bandit Queen Phoolan Devi was shot here way back in 1993. I have returned several times for the promotion of my other films as well. This is the oldest studio in North India.”

7-years in making, the film tells the incredible story of Sri M’s ardoulous 7500km journey on foot, emphasizing the change within the individual as a true catalyst for societal change. Told through a gripping narrative, the film covers a journey of 474 days, across India’s di-verse landscape.
Receiving immense praise and acclaim across its screenings in Milan, Athens and across the Euro-pean Film Festival Circuit, the film has also garnered nominations for Best Director of a Documentary, Best Editing of a Documentary, and The Historical Interest Award at Film Fest International (Berlin FFI) Milan, Italy. It has also been selected as a Finalist at the Scandinavian International Film Awards (Cameo Awards Gala).

Jay Patel has a fascinating story about how he landed the role of Shyamji Krishna Varma. When Randeep Hooda reached out to him, he mentioned that Varma was a Gujarati and an NRI, assuming Patel must know him well. Indeed, Patel was familiar with Varma’s life story since childhood. His childhood friend lived just 500 meters from Varma’s house in Mandvi, Kutch, Gujarat, and stories about Varma were a regular part of his upbringing. Patel also visited India House in London in 1997, which further deepened his connection to Varma’s legacy.
When Patel recounted Varma’s life journey to Hooda, the director was astounded by his knowledge. Hooda then convinced Patel to take on the role, noting that his Gujarati heritage and NRI background made him a perfect fit. Jai Sanatan Cinema has announced an exciting new web series titled Baba Neeb Karori… Mauni Maa featuring Jitendra Singh (Sabu) in the lead role as Neeb Karori Baba and Navni Parihar as Mouni MaaThe series promises to offer a captivating portrayal of the revered Hindu guru whose teachings have influenced countless lives both in India and abroad. He gained international recognition for being the spiritual master of numerous Americans who traveled to India in the 1960s and 1970s, including spiritual teachers Ram Dass and Bhagavan Das, and musicians Krishna Das and Jai Uttal. His teachings emphasized simplicity, devotion, and service, leaving a lasting impact on his followers worldwide.
Speaking about his role, Jitendra Singh (Sabu) shared, “Portraying Neeb Karori Baba is a privilege, honour and responsibility. His life and teachings have touched so many hearts, and our goal is to bring his story to life in a way that resonates with people today. The series is being produced under the banner of Jai Sanatan Cinema Pvt Ltd, with Jitendra Singh and Bishnu Mishra serving as producers and co-producers Ankit Raathi and Anita Singh. Helmed by director Jitendra Singh (Sabu), who also stars as Neeb Karori Baba, the creative direction and editing are managed by Prince. मुम्बई। गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स होल्डर डॉक्टर 365 और आरके एचआईवी एड्स रिसर्च एंड केयर सेंटर के अध्यक्ष डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार द्वारा मुम्बई के जुहू बीच पर 19 मई 2024 को महा आरोग्य शिविर’ का आयोजन किया गया जो बहुत सफल मेडिकल और हेल्थ कैम्प रहा जिसमें हजारों लोगों ने लाभ लिया।
इस महा आरोग्य शिविर के आयोजन में सीसीआरएस मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ आयुष और रोट्री क्लब मुम्बई नार्थ आइलैंड जुहू एरोबिक्स टीम का भी सहयोग रहा।
डॉक्टर 365 के डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार ने कहा कि यह महा आरोग्य शिविर बहुत सफल रहा। इस शिविर में मुफ्त स्वास्थ्य जांच, मुफ्त दवाएं, ब्लड प्रेशर और सुगर चेकअप किया गया। साथ ही लोगों को फ्री च्वनप्राश और इम्युनिटी बूस्टर किट भी वितरित की गई। यहां दो दर्जन से अधिक डॉक्टर्स और पैरामेडिकल स्टाफ ने लोगों की जांच की।
बता दें कि आरके एचआईवी एड्स रिसर्च एंड केयर सेंटर के अध्यक्ष डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार द्वारा अब तक 96 हजार ऑपरेशन का लाभ लोगों को मिला है, 29899 मेडिकल कैम्प का आयोजन किया जा चुका है वहीं एक लाख सर्जरी करवाई गई है और 4.26 करोड़ मरीजों ने लाभ लिया है।2.8 हजार करोड़ की दवाएं वितरित की गई हैं। 35 लाख लोगों को चश्मे देकर उन्हें रौशनी देने का नेक कार्य किया है। 1.3 लाख लोगों को व्हीलचेयर की सुविधा देकर दिव्यांगों की सहायता की है।
