Made In India Pictures and Sky247 are looking at making serious content for the online viewers. The series of short films made by them are being talked about.
The Poster Launch of their latest offering Excuse Us Boys was at the Made In India Pictures office along with the stars, producer Santosh Gupta and director Roshan Garry Bhinder.
Now let us take a look at the cast. Newsmakers Laveena Tandon and Palak Purswani have made a name for themselves in the world of television. Laveena Tandon is the face of a number of shows like Jodha Akbar, Naagin, Baalveer, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, while Palak Purswani was a strong contender of SplitsVilla 7 as well as the face of serial Badi Devrani, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and Meri Hanikarak Biwi among others. Apart from this, both of them have worked in several webseries as well. Trishan Singh Maini has worked in the film Sarabjit as well as many webseries and serials. Parth Zutshi has also shown his skills in TV series like Dhup Chhaon, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Har Roz Da Ladna.
And looking at the camaraderie of the actors, it looks like this short film is worth a dekko.

After a three month wait, Zen Film Productions is set to release yet another short film saga under the Ouija series banner, which specifically delves into horror, mystery, and the supernatural. After the local success of social awareness short films like The Power, A Dark Tale, The Peril and more, Specter is set to take psychological terror to new heights. The ten-minute film sees a public figure, played by filmmaker and CEO of Zen Film Productions Zenofar Fathima, struggling to overcome her inner demons, as she sets out to explore an unprecedented presence. The series is currently being filmed during the Coronavirus outbreak with all safety precautions being adhered to, which is a rare feat for most filmmakers at this time.
The series’ first episode is expected to premiere exclusively on Zee Cinemas Middle East (Channel 676 on Etisalat and Channel 179 on Du) on Thursday, 16th July at 11pm GST, and 12.30am IST. If you happen to miss it on 16th July, you can catch it once again on 21st July at 11.30am GST and 1am IST. You can also catch the teaser on Zee Cinemas throughout the day, starting from next week on the 14th of July. The succeeding episodes of this saga will be released in due course on other exclusive digital streaming platforms which are to be announced. The future episodes will also feature a few local icons, who are bound to enthrall audiences with their performances.
Apart from the Specter series slated for release, Zen Film Productions also has many projects in the pipeline, one of which is a short film that sheds light on a frontliner’s life during the pandemic. “I am really excited for all these new projects, as these are not only unique in their approach, but are sure to be popular with audiences of all ages”, says Zenofar. More than 1000 doctors watched the film via webinar before the online release of the movie
Corona Epidemic, quarantine, Lock Down All these words have become part of the lives of common people in the last few months. A short film has been made about the case of quarantine, which is named “Love in Quarantine”. There is also a message in this short film depicting the life of the doctors who fought Corona. The most important thing is that More than 1000 doctors watched the film via webinar before the online release of the movie.
This short movie shown to such a large number of doctors through webinar. The producer of the film, Nilesh N Raghani, claims that this was the first time that so many doctors had shown a film together. It will be released soon on the digital platform.
Presenting by NR Group, this short film has been made under the banner of Klassic Treasure Private Limited. The film, written and directed by Rajiv S Ruia, is an initiative of goKoronago.com. Its project designer is Deepak Ruia, DOP Javed Ehtesham. It stars Ritoo Jenjani and Karanudaya Jenjani in the lead roles. Two faces are seen with masks on the poster of the short film. Its tagline is “When love is real, it has no end.”

Mumbai, June 20, 2020: The Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki Fame, Gautam Chaturvedi, the man who dons many hats from an Entrepreneur to an Actor has bagged a prestigious Award of Merit for his short film Work From Home. Starring Mouli Ganguly, Ridhiema Tiwari, Neelu Kohli and Gautam Chaturvedi himself, Work From Home was written and produced during the lockdown in the country owing to the Global Pandemic.
A one of its kind production, showcasing how this sudden Lockdown has thrown many a lives off balance financially, emotionally and psychologically was written, shot and packaged keeping the staying at home protocol in check at all times. The movie deals with the intricacies of the life of a couple who have 2 kids and are married for over a decade, but soon enough, the cracks in their relationship show up and then life takes a sudden turn.
Work From Home is one of the only two films from the country to win this celebrated awards that’s been honoring filmmakers and artists for their exceptional work for a decade now. The film is the only Indian short film to presented with the Award of Merit title. Based out of California, Best Shorts will not be holding a physical ceremony and will courier trophies to the winner keeping the sensitivity of the pandemic in mind.
Speaking on this occasion, Gautam Chaturvedi said, “We at Pinetree Pictures are absolutely delighted to have received this prestigious award. Work From Home is a special film created at a rather difficult time and seeing that the film is getting the honor it deserves for all the hard work and long hours we put into it is amazing. “रात बाकी बात बाक़ी” एक लाइट कॉमेडी इमोशनल ड्रामा फिल्म है फ़िल्म में एक अधेड़ उम्र के प्रकाश मल्होत्रा (जैकी श्रॉफ़ ) अपने चार युवा दोस्तों को जिंदगी के कुछ अनुभवों के बारे में बताते है चार युवा एक ही समाज में अलग अलग समस्याओं का सामना कर रहे है। एक शहीद के पिता के रूप में जैकी श्रॉफ़ अपने क़िरदार को बहुत ही संजीदगी के साथ परदे पर निभाते है उनके क़िरदार के कई और रंग है उस रात सब अपनी कहानी , सीक्रेट्स को साझा करते है। प्रकाश मल्होत्रा (जैकी श्रॉफ़) की कहानी में बड़ा सीक्रेट है और साथ ही कुछ ऐसा जो चारों दोस्तों की सोच को हमेशा के लिए बदल देगा।
इस अवसर पर निर्देशक दिव्यांश पंडित ने कहाकि ” फिल्म के लेख़क आयुष ग़ौर ने फिल्म का बेसिक आयडिया बताया, मैं कहानी से बहुत प्रभावित हुआ फिर हम दोनों ने मिलकर इस कहानी को डेवलप किया और जग्गू दादा को सुनाया। हमारे लिए सबसे बड़ी सफ़लता का क्षण था जब दादा ने कहाकि की वह इस फिल्म के लिए तैयार है। तीन दिन की शूटिंग में हम सब दोस्त बन गयी। फिल्म में जग्गू दादा के कई सुझाव हम सब को बहुत अच्छे लगे। दर्शक जैकी श्रॉफ़ को एकदम नए किरदार में देखेंगे। फिल्म रात बाकी बात बाकी के कई दृश्य में आप हँसते है तो कई दृश्य में आप इमोशनल हो जाते है।

Our roads are the most dangerous in the world and so Producer Chanda Patel made a short film “Two Fold Twist” staring Suraj Kumar and Raveena Tilwat to spread the message of Road Safety and helping others while road accident. This short film is made to spread awareness among people to drive safely, as their life matters to someone. Many die as a consequence of inexperience, speeding, intoxication or just plain recklessness. The focus of this short film is to deliver a message to the masses and youngsters about the helping others during road accident.
While talking to the media Chanda Patel Said, “ When a road accident occurs, bystanders will usually try to help the injured, or at least call for help. In India it’s different. In a country with some of the world’s most dangerous roads, victims are all too often left to fend for themselves. Film is a strong medium which has maximum impact on people as they remember scenes and dialogues for long time. Through this film, we want to give message that people can atleast inform the police by dialling 100 or call in ambulance by dialling 108 from their phones. This will help in saving precious lives”.
Stating that road accidents are the biggest cause of death in the city, The aim of the film is to raise awareness of road safety and help to save lives. Director Riyan Koul said, “most of the accidents are due to the negligence. Many people have lost lives because traffic rules were not followed. It is very important to be responsible while driving. Road safety should also be taught to children from a young age”.
As part of the run-up to its 2018 edition, Indywood Talent Club, an affiliate organization of student clubs set up to promote art and culture under the umbrella of Indywood Talent Hunt, has announced the launch of entries for its international level short film contest.
The first round will see the submissions be judged online, and the entries selected for the finals shall be judged and screened during the prestigious 4th Indywood Film Carnival, to be held at HITEX Convention Centre, Hyderabad, from December 1-4, 2018. The deadline for submissions is 24th October, 2018, and the contest carries a prize money of Rs. 1,00,000.
