Mumbai: At an event in Mumbai, celebrity women from different walks of life launched AurDikhao’s full-fledged campaign called #DetectToDefeat– more than 10 short videos featuring 16 women celebrities from different fields, to promote breast cancer awareness. Divya Khosla Kumar, Shaina NC, Priya Bapat, Disha Parmar and Shibani Dandekar were present at the launch event.
Apart from October being known for the famous Oktober fest in Europe, in India we wish to stand for something more significant. For the uninitiated, October is observed as ‘International Breast Cancer Awareness Month’.
Research says breast cancer is one of the fastest rising cancer types amongst women. More than half of the cases are detected in stage 3 or 4, thus inhibiting any chances for cure. Hence the only way for prevention is raising awareness through early detection, treatment and cure.
As part of our Public Service Campaign, AurDikhao, a digital media channel in association with Dr Aneel Murarka and Manish Murarka – promoter’s of Ample Missiion Events Entertainment and more LLP have developed a full-fledged campaign called #DetectToDefeat
The campaign provides an opportunity to witness more than 10 short videos featuring 16 women celebrities from different fields. Each of these videos convey the message in a unique style. Many of the women celebrities in their respective videos put across different key messaging points- Sunidhi Chauhan deals with the word ‘test’ while Shaina NC & other TV celebs deal with 2 minutes. For Sunny Leone, Tapsee Pannu and Priya Bapat showcases various characters a women encounters in her day-to-day life who keep staring at their breasts.

TV actress Ekktaa BP Singh who shot to fame from Colors TV’s Baani: Ishq Da Kalama is gearing up for her show on Colors Shakti– Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki (Rashmi Sharma Productions). EKktaa BP Singh is back with a bang!! From getting introduced as the women next door in Colors’ Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki to going through a major transformation in character where she entered in the show as a Kinnar. As an actor, she has managed to stand up to the challenge that she undertook of playing this complex character.
She said, “Yes, I am thoroughly enjoying the phase. And the role I have got back with is worth all the wait. Well, the journey has been very interesting considering that were lot of highs and lows involved. To know that my risk has been appreciated, accepted and acknowleged has made me happy. And the role is worth taking the risk. See, getting such an opportunity and plunging into it without giving it a second thought, was actually the greatest risk I took in my life. And the risk was taken with the sole intention that it gave me an opportunity to prove my mettle as an actor. It was a very difficult decision to make. Taking workshops prior to the beginning of film is part and parcel of any project. But upcoming film SAANSEIN began on a very unique note. Actors Rajniesh Duggal and Sonarika Bhadoria who are paired together, went through various workshops prior the commencement of the shooting of their film.
But director Rajiv S Ruia prepared his actors for their respective roles in his upcoming romantic-horror film SAANSEIN – The Last Breath in an amazing way.
Rajiv S Ruia booked a private theatre and both the lead actors were asked to watch the scariest Hollywood flick CONJURING all by themselves! For the actors it was very horrifying experience but it helped Rajniesh get into the skin of the character. The film that does not harp of any gorgy ghost but facts that leads to paranormal activities.
Talking about this experience Rajniesh shared, “CONJURING was something that instilled fear in us and I got to pick a lot from the lead actors, it helped me sharpen my body language to improvising scenes which could instill fear in our audience. Ravi also made it a point that none of us have any religious beliefs with us and don’t mingle on the sets so that the fear remains within us.”
Also starring Hiten Tejwani, Neetha Shetty, Vishal Malhotra, Amir Dalvi, SAANSEIN is produced by Goutam Jain and Vivek Agarwal under GPA Productions. The music is composed by Vivek Kar and lyrics penned by Kumaar. SAANSEIN – THE LAST BREATH is all set to hit the silver screen on November 11.

Mumbai. Childrens Welfare Centre High School situated at Yari Road, Andheri (West),Mumbai along with Clara’s College of Commerce organized a gala function on Tuesday, 18 October 2016 with great pomp and vigour. Dipa Karmakar, the first trailblazing Indian female gymnast winner of bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games2014 and respectively at the Asian Gymnastics Championships and 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dronacharya Awardee winner Bishweshwar Nandi for gymnastics also graced the occasion as guests of honour.Principal Ajay Kaul and Executive Chairman Prashant Kashid along with staff and students of the school and college welcomed the guests in a manner which will be cherished in memories for long. The guests were welcomed with music band followed by rituals of ‘aarti’ and honouring them by presenting bouquets and trophies. Speaking on the occasion Ajay Kaul, Principal of Children’s Welfare Centre High School, said, “Very soon we are opening a gymnastics centre which will help our school and college children to take part and go ahead to be a sportsman.”
The executive chairman of the school, Prashant Kashid added, “This function has been organized to initiate children and boost the morale of children to take active part in sports activities too.”
Dronacharya awardee winner Bishweshwar Nandi affirmatively added, “In earlier times there was a saying if you study then you will become a ‘nawab’ and if you play and jump then you will become a baddie. World class gymnast Dipa Karmakar approved and said, “Today, all the children along with studies should take active interest in sports too. Both activities are very much necessary in our life. It is up to each one how you prioritize among them and feel comfortable and enjoyable too.”

Producer-director Rakesh Sawant who has also completed the entire shooting and post-production work his of this tri-lingual film Jaya Films and Musics’ AMAVASYA (in Hindi and Telugu) and AMAVASEY (in Tamil) will release the films in December all over. In a unique initiative, Catalyst for Social Action (CSA), a city – based NGO organized its 12th Annual Charity event at Four Season Hotel Worli. The event was a mix of dance drama by Children, Art auction and fashion walk by women – high achievers and proud mothers.
The event attracted almost 200+ supporters and the funds raised will be used to support Orphan children, who have no support system when they turn 18 as they are bound to leave the Orphanage. CSA helps prepare children for independent and dignified life outside the orphanages.
The Event started with lighting of the lamp by Maharajkumari Mahima Kumari Queen of Mewar, Mrs. Sonia Sethi (Addl. DG foreign trade Govt of India), Mr. Sandeep Bakshi (MD and CEO, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance) Vipul Jain, Shibani Jain and Bharati Dasgupta( Founders of CSA). Followed by the dance drama performance by orphan children, based on Mowgli, which was choreographed by Sandip Soparrkar, who is the cause ambassador for CSA.
The art auction was made possible by great solidarity action from artists, for raising support for Orphan Children, some of the best known artists in India Such as Arzan Khambatta, Samir Mondal , Sharad Kale, Venkat Shyam and Bina Aziz’s art works were on display.
“We had a number of generous bidders and supporters and eventually raised Rs. 34 Lakhs through support pledges, auction of the Paintings and sponsorships” said Vipul Jain, Founder, CSA.
The Show ended with the fashion walk, organized by Ms. Farhana Vohra, on the theme of ‘eternal bond between mother and her child’. Women like Soniya Sethi Addl. DG foreign trade Govt. of India, Known actress Riya Pillai and Madhu Shah walked the ramp to show their support to the cause.
