After releasing Punjabi film “CANADA DI FLIGHT” which proved to be super hit, director Roopesh Rai Sikand and producer Alexander Felix Rodriguez are coming with a sequel of this film but in Hindi. Roopesh says subject of this film will be entirely different from original one, there were three heroes and three heroines, where as in Hindi we will be having two leading pairs, but message will same as previous one that youngsters want to settle in foreign countries to earn dollars, but don’t know the situations they have to face there. 60% of this film will be shot in Canada and 40% in India, film will go on floor soon. Alexander met Roopesh Rai Sikand through a common friend and after watching Punjabi film, he decided to produce its Hindi version titled “CANADA KI FLIGHT”.

सुपर हिट पंजाबी फिल्म “कनाडा दी फ्लाइट” के बाद निर्देशक रूपेश राय सिकंद और निर्माता एलेक्सेंडर फेलिक्स रोड्रिग्ज इस फिल्म का सीक्वेल हिंदी में लेके आ रहे हैं जिसका नाम है “कनाडा की फ्लाइट”, रूपेश राय ने बताया की इस फिल्म की कहानी पंजाबी फिल्म से काफी अलग है, जहाँ उस फिल्म में तीन नायक और नायिकाएं थी, वहीँ हिंदी में दो नायक नायिकाएँ होंगी, फिल्म के साठ प्रतिशत हिस्सा कनाडा में शूट होगा, और चालीस फीसदी इंडिया में। निर्मित एलेक्सेंडर की मुलकात रूपेश से एक कॉमन मित्र के जरिये हुई, पंजाबी फिल्म देखने के बाद एलेक्सेंडर ने रूपेश के साथ फिल्म बनाने का निर्णय लिया, इस फिल्म की कहानी का मूल वही होगा की लोग विदेश जाके डॉलर कमाने के सपने देखते हैं, पर क्या सचमुच में ऐसा होता है, इसीको इस फिल्म के जरिये दिखाया जायेगा।

Hindi film “Purab Ki Awaj” is made on the life of freedom fighter Birangana Kanaklata, a martyr of Indian freedom struggle, 1942, under the banner of LPKG Film Production. Kanaklata had embraced martyrdom at the tender age of 16 years on 20th Sept 1942 for the love of her country. Indian freedom fighters like Shahid Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey and others are well known and popular in India as well as globally. But, similar is not the case with the fearless and daring freedom fighter of Assam, Birangana Kanaklata, who had boldly faced the bullets of the police during the freedom struggle of India in 1942 and laid down her life for the country. LPKG Films Production had made an honest effort to make everyone aware about this brave heart from Assam by narration of her story in this movie.

फिल्म की कहानी १९४२ की एक देशभक्त क्रन्तिकारी लड़की ‘वीरांगना कनकलता’ के जीवन पर आधारित है। कनकलता ने १६ वर्ष की उम्र में २० सितम्बर १९४२ में देश के लड़ते हुए वीरगति को प्राप्त हुई। अब तक भगत सिंह, मंगल पांडेय जैसे शहीदों पर कई फिल्म बनी है, पर आसाम की वीरांगना पर यह प्रथम फिल्म है।

Today most of the actresses in the film industry are more than ready to dare and bare their skin in films and what’s more they also end up as successful and sought after stars but unable to last forever. But there are several actresses who have come to the industry and also left an indelible niche for themselves, especially classical dancers like Madhubala, Waheeda Rehman, Vyjayanthimala, Hema Malini, Rekha, Sridevi , Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan etc . Samiksha Bhatnagar, who hails from Dehradun is one such actress who is making her debut as lead role with FRV Big Business Entertainment Private Limited’s romcom Love Ke Funday, produced by Faaiz Anwar and Prem Prakash Gupta and written and directed by Indervesh Yogee.
Samiksha has done her PhD in Kathak from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad (U.P) and has acted in TV serials like Veera, Ados Pados, Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re etc besides doing a cameo role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Calendar Girls. Love Ke Funday is her first film in a lead role. There are four main heroines in the film which slated for release on July 15, 2016. We spoke to Samiksha Bhatnagar at the office of the producer Faaiz Anwar in Andheri:-
Excerpts from the conversation:
What did you do before getting into films? Is anyone else in your family connected with the film industry in any manner?
No one from my family is part of film. I did my B.A in English and then did my PhD in Kathak .I ran dance classes in Delhi and also choreographed programmes in schools. Since my mother Kusum Bhatnagar is also a classical dancer, it was her ardent desire that I too be one, though it was my desire to join films. After I did a lot of ads in Delhi as a model, I headed for Mumbai to take up a career in films as n actress and did TV serials like Veer, Ados Pados and Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re, besides a cameo role in Madhur Bhadarkar’s film Calendar Girls. Now I am playing one of the main female leads in Love Ke Funday which is my debut film in a full-fledged lead role.
What is your role in Love Ke Funday?
I play a glamorous girl called Jassi who is married and working in a company. She is modern as far as her thinking is concerned and is practical and does not stray at all from marriage.
Did the film also offer you any scope to try your hand at performing any classical dance?
No. It is not at all necessary that you will get an opportunity to do everything in a film that if offered to you. There is no classical dance in the film. There is only fun, romance, emotion etc in the film which has got all the ingredients required for a film to click at the box office.
Which do you wish to pursue actively-Films, TV or classical dance?
In today’s timers, you just cannot think in terms of this. It all happens on when and what opportunity you get. Thanks to classical, dances, I benefited by way of my facial expressions and body language and am known for my good acting. I am ready to accept whatever offer comes my way, whether big or small as long as I am able to leave a lasting impression with my role.
Today in films most of the actresses indulge in body display. Are you ready to follow suit?
It depends on to what extent it is necessary for the script for me to expose myself. If it’s valid, I’d definitely do it within my limits and comfort zone but I am not at all ready to expose without any rhyme or reason .
What next, as far as future is concerned?
Nothing will happen if you just think a lot about it. Whatever God wants to give me, I am more than ready to accept it as everything is in his hands. I want people to watch Love Ke Funday and like it and give me the right feedback on what they like in the film.
Clicking selfies seems a never ending obsession from common man to the stars. We happened to spot yesteryears diva Zeenat Aman having a good time, while clicking selfies with her Co actors Kapil Kaustubh Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar, on the last day of the shoot, on the sets of her web series Love Life & Screw Ups!!! And once as the trio was done with their selfies, the other Co actors and crew members lined up to click selfies with her. It seemed a helluva selfie day!
Incidentally, Zeenat Aman makes digital debut with this series and along with Kapil and Yuvraaj, it also stars Mita Vashisht, Dolly Thakore, Sonali Raut and Diandra Soares. It is a feel good romantic comedy youth based show. According to a source, Zeenat is playing a super glam spinster, Joanna, who is full of life, fun and positivity. She is a non-apologetic vain and part of a chilled out group. Zeenat has worked really hard to look her best in the series. For three months she been on a strict diet and rigorously working out to get in right shape for the super glam Joanna.
Director Kapil Kaustubh Sharma is tapping her crazy comical side again, which we saw in movies like Manaronjan, Heera Panna and Yaadon Ki Baraat. He had to wait for two months before he got to meet the veteran actress. He admits that she was unsure about going digital but was hooked when she heard the concept, even remarking that “this could have been a movie!” Zeenat has taken an active interest in her styling. Her look is inspired from the ‘70s; she’ll be seen in long skirts, scarves and large goggles.
The look of the show is grand and glossy. The show will be aired with English subtitles keeping the global audience in mind.
