Faaiz Anwar who has written hit songs for films like Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Saajan, Imtehan, Tum Bin, Jab We Met, Hello Brothers and recently Dabang (Tere Mast Mast Do Nain) and Rowdy Rathod (Chikni Kamar) is known as the Emperor of romantic songs, is now all set to bring a youth oriented romantic comedy called Love Ke Funday as a producer under the banner of FRV Big Business Entertainment Private Limited. Faaiz Anwar and Prem Prakash Gupta are the producers of the film which has been written and directed by Indervesh Yogee. The film is all set for release in July this year.Excerpts from the conversation with the lyricist cum producer Faaiz Anwar:-
How did you veer towards production all of a sudden?
It isn’t a decision that I took overnight. Earlier too I had made an unsuccessful attempt at production, but this time around, along with my patner Prem Prakash Gupta, I am getting into this in a big way. Four films are at different stages of the production under my banner. Love Ke Funday is first to release and soon other will follow. I feel no pressure concentrating on both – writing songs and production of films.
Did you set out to make a romcom just because you are known for your romantic films?
Love Ke Funday isn’t just a romcom but a youth oriented film keeping the younger generation of today in mind.It is a musical film full of romance and comedy and the story revolves around the romantic ups and downs of four boys and girls. Indervesh Yogeehas done shown his finesse as director in his debut film. He is a very focused director who knows his job. It is a beautiful film and I am sure the audiences will like.
Why did you opt for new faces instead of big stars for your film?
Decision to take new faces was driven by my convenience and the requirement of the script. It is easy to make a film with new faces as there is absolutely no date hassles. If you cast stars, you have no other alternative but to run after them for their dates. The biggest strength of my film are its script and its cast. In any case, big stars do not necessarily guarantee the success of any film and films flop or click irrespective of stars or new faces. It is the content of the film that matters. On the contrary, films with new faces have clicked more than star studded films in the recent past.
Do you think like Gulzar and Shailendra, you also would click as a producer in films?
Gulzar Shaheb had produced and directed several films of which some were hits. Shailendraji had made only one film which did not click. I have now entered the field of film production and it is my attempt to have my own individual identity here too like I have made in the field of writing lyrics and poems. I am confident that I will be bestowed with the same kind of love here too by the people. My aim is to make films on untouched subjects which no one has dared to make. My forthcoming film Love Ke Funday is an out and out commercial film and I hope the public would like it.
Why did you write very few songs in recent times?
I was busy trying to float my own production house and establish myself as a producer. I was trying to gauge what kinds of subjects are being made into films. If there was any story which was worth I was ready to write the lyrics or else I used to turn down offers bluntly. I want to concentrate not on quantity and but on quality. I only want to write lyrics which touch one’s heart. These days many lyricists have started mushrooming, who do not even know what a tune is or the head or tail of lyrics writing but they continue to write. The public is also enjoying their songs and what’s more they become hits too but do not last for more than a week.
But haven’t written such songs?
Sometimes I too write lyrics just for fun and to appese the producer and director. I too have to survive in the changing times and have no other alternative. I had to write Chikni Kamar Pe Teri Mera Dil Fisal Gaya, Chammak Challo Chail Chabeeli too, since the film Rowdy Rathod was produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. If a filmmaker like Sanjay Leela Bhansali can make a film like this, why cannot a poet lyricist like me write such stuff? Frankly speaking, such songs do not have a shelf life and lasts for just around eight days and are like the first rains. They come and go but looking at the need of the hour, one has to write
Do you think the music of your first film stand the test of time?
100%. The songs are part of the film. There are five songs in my film. There are emotional, romantic, item numbers etc, which people would love. “Naina Shaatir Bade” by Sukhwinder Singh, “Tere Kudi” by Mika, “Yeh Pyar Hai” by Javed Ali, the title track by “Jojo” and the item song Amul Maska by “Khushi Thakur”.
Which are your forthcoming films a as a lyricist as of now?
Love Ke Funday, Mumbai Dreams, Mumbai Shuklaji Street and a few untitled films.

वर्ल्ड वाइड रिकॉर्ड ने कर्मा नेशन बैंड को अपने डेब्यू एल्बम ‘तेरे इश्क़ में’ के साथ लांच किया.कर्मा बैंड को सज्जाद हुसैन और हैदर हसन द्वारा चलाया जाएगा.1994 में सज्जाद ने कर्मा बैंड को ज्वाइन किया जहा सज्जाद और हैदर की मुलाकात हुई फिर उसके बाद दोनों ने एक साथ मिलकर कई सारे म्यूजिक बनाये.कर्मा नेशन बैंड की शुरुवात 22 साल पहले ही हो चुकी थी जब अमेरिका में इनका पहला लाइव कॉन्सर्ट हुआ था.इसके पहले कई अलग अलग गांव के फॉक गानो की धुन पर म्यूजिक बनाया जाता था जिसे आज की जनरेशन के बिच में लेकर उस संस्कृति को उजागर किया जाता है.सज्जाद हुसैन जो कई संगीत वादकों को भली भाती बजाते है जिनमे रबाब मेंडोलिन और गिटार सामिल है.सज्जाद ने कई गजल और कई अन्य जाने माने गायको के साथ मिलकर संगीत तैयार की है जिनमे मेहंदी हसन,मदम नूर जहा ,फतेह अली खान शामिल है.उसके बाद उन्हें और भी कई बड़ी हस्तियों के साथ काम करने का मौका मिला जिसके चलते वे और आगे बढ़ते रहे.
बात करे हैदर हसन की जो काफी कम उम्र से ही के.एल सहगल,पंकज मलिक,बेगम अख्तर,तल्लत मोहम्मद,समशाद बेगम,जगजीत सिंह ,मोहम्मद रफ़ी और लता मंगेशकर के गानो को सुनते आये है और हैदर की माता जो हैदर के साथ संगीत में रूचि रखती थी.

‘तेरे इश्क़ में’,और ‘तेरा शुक्रिया’ इन दोनों एल्बम के गानो को एक न्यू लव स्टोरी के तौर पर गाया है हैदर हस्सन और सज्जाद हुसैन ने जिसमे कवाली की फीलिंग भी आएगी साथ ही इसका म्यूजिक भी काफी दमदार है.

The Delhi based sexy International bikini model Ritika Gulati, who plays the role of a sexy yoga teacher Anu in romantic comedy film ‘Love Ke Funday’ being produced by Faaiz Anwar and Prem Prakash Gupta under the banner of FRV Big Business Entertainment Private Limited with Indervesh Yogee as the writer-director and Prakash Prabhakar and Farzan Faaiz as the music directors, is in the news because of her sensuous scenes in the film. The film is slated for release in July 2016. We spoke to Ritika Gulati at the office of the producer Faaiz Anwar in Andheri:-
Tell us something about yourself?
I am based in Delhi. In 2012, I had won the title of Miss Delhi and had done a lot of modelling including one in bikini for Kingfisher. Though I became a famous model, I was always keen on taking up acting in films and hence came to Mumbai and ended up bagging the film Love Ke Funday.
What is your role in Love Ke Funday?
I am playing the role of a sexy yoga teacher Anu who is very open minded. Sadly for Anu she finds herself getting jilted in love as she falls for guys who later she finds out happen to be married ones.
Is there any scene of yours in the film in a bikini?
Yes. There are scenes according to the demand of the story and my role. I am quite confident that the audiences would love my scenes in a bikini I in the film.
Is there any memorable incident which happened during the shooting of the film?
When I came to know that the unit was going to shoot in Kashmir, I was very excited especially because I have always liked to watch snowfalls. However sadly for us, during the shoot there was a landslide and we were stuck for four days. Yet we enjoyed every moment of the stay in Kashmir.
What was the reaction of your family to your scenes in bikini in the film?
I have never hesitated to pose in a bikini as I am not at all ashamed to flaunt myself in a bikini especially since I have a good figure. In any case, it is a part and parcel of my work as an actress and everyone knows that in real life, I am not what I portray in my reel life. Though initially some of my relatives were quite jittery when I appeared in a bikini, they relented later on and felt that it was okay. It happens with new comers in the industry all the time but no one points out a finger at big actresses when they appear in bikinis. If you are successful, it does not matter and if God forbids you fail, then there are people who will find out ten faults in you.
What do you think the future holds for you?
I want to make an individual identity of my own in the film industry as an actress who can be depended upon to deliver good performances.

अभिनय इनके लिए एक जुनून की तरह रहा है, पर हालात तस्वीर बदल देते हैं। इससे पहले कि अभिनेत्री के तौर पर सामने आती, परिस्थितियों ने इन्हें फेमस मॉडल बना दिया और मॉडलिंग से आगे बढ़ते हुए फैस्टिवल क्वीन भी बन गईं। आज रीत मजूमदार इंटरनेशनल लेवल पर एक जाना-पहचाना नाम है क्योंकि इनकी करीब पांच इंटरनेशनल फिल्मों ने फैस्टिवल में अपना प्रभाव दिखाया है। अब हिंदी फिल्म ‘ए स्कैंडल’ से बॉलीवुड में डेब्यू कर रही हैं। फिल्म और इनके किरदार के बारे में जानने से पहले बता दें कि रीत मजूमदार की मॉडलिंग में शुरूआत ‘लैकमे’ से हुई थी। ‘लैकमे’ की एड के लिए हमेशा इंटरनेशल ब्यूटीज़ को ही लिया जाता था, पर रीत पहली इंडियन गर्ल थी, जिसने लैकमे में अपनी प्रेजेंटेशन दी और विश्व मंच पर चर्चित हो गई। इसके बाद तो एड वर्ल्ड में इनका सिक्का चल निकला और बाते आगे बढ़ते हुए फिल्मों तक आ गई। इंडियन नहीं, इंटरनेशनल फिल्म्स। फ्रैंच, स्पैनिश और इटालियन फिल्म इंडस्ट्री ने इन्हें हाथों-हाथ लिया और इनके अभिनय की गूंज फैस्टिवल्स में सुनाई देने लगी। टैलेंट हो, तो सामने आएगा ही। यह अलग बात है कि हिंदी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में अपनी पॉवर दिखाने का मौका अब जाकर मिला है। रीत कहती हैं कि मैं डायरेक्टर ईशान के जरिए जॉनी बावेजा से मिली थी।
ईशान इससे पहले एक फिल्म कर रहे थे जिसमें मैं राजीव खंडेलवाल के अपोजिट थी। यह अलग बात है कि मेरी शुरूआत ‘ए स्कैंडल’ से हो रही है। रीत कहती हैं कि मैंने ट्रैवलिंग खूब की है। करीब 25 देखों में घूम चुकी हूं इसलिए हर देश की संस्कृति या कल्चर को समझती हूं। मैं जानती हूं कि भारतीय फिल्म इंडस्ट्री मुझें किस रूप में स्वीकार कर सकती है और उसी हिसाब से मैं तैयार होकर आई हूं। इससे पहले फ्रैंच और इंडो-इटालियन फिल्म कर चुकी हूं। ग्लोबल प्लेटफार्म पर मैंने खुद को साबित कर दिखाया है। अब बारी बॉलीवुड की है, जहां मुझे ‘ए स्कैंडल’ के जरिए कुछ कर दिखाना है। फिल्म में मैंने कोया का कैरेक्टर प्ले किया है, जो अपनी मौसी-मौसा के साथ रहती है, लेकिन इस फैमिली में हादसा तब घटित होता है, जब मैं दिल्ली में थीं। दिल्ली से लौटने के बाद मैं अपने ब्वॉयफ्रेंड विधु को एक काम सौंपती हूं जो एक रहस्य की तलाश में जुट जाता है। यहीं से कहानी उलझती चली जाती है। रीत कहती हैं कि मैं हर तरह के किरदारों को जीना चाहती हूं। ऐसे किरदार, जो चुनौतीपूर्ण हों। कोलकाता से हूं इसलिए बंगाली फिल्मों में भी मेरी दिलचस्पी है। प्रदीप सरकार के साथ एक एड कर चुकी हूं और एक बंगाली फिल्म कर रही हूं जिसका नाम है ‘पोरोबाशीनी’। यह एक्शन बेस्ड फिल्म है इसलिए इसमें कैरेक्टर चैलेंजिंग है। यह फिल्म साउथ के नेशनल अवार्ड विनिंग डायरेक्टर बना रहे हैं, जो डिफरेंट सब्जेक्ट लेकर आ रहे हैं, लेकिन उम्मीद करती हूं कि इस फिल्म की रिलीज़ से पहले ‘ए स्कैंडल’ मुझे हिंदी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में भी मज़बूत कर देगी।
विधु की रग-रग में शैतानी है। वह मतलबी और मौकापरस्त है। एक डॉक्यूमेंट्री बनाने के बहाने वह ऐसे मिशन या खोज पर निकलता है, जहां सबकुछ अनोखा चल रहा है। इस बीच वह किसी स्कैंडल में फंस जाता है और फिर शुरू होती है असली कहानी, जो डर पैदा करती है। मर्डर मिस्ट्री से जुड़ी इस कहानी को रूप दिया गया है एक रोमांचक फिल्म ‘ए स्कैंडल’ का, जिसमें सेक्स भी है और रोमांस भी। सस्पैंस और खौफ के बीच हर पात्र अपने अभिनय को जीता है। विधु के किरदार को परदे पर साकार किया है जॉनी बावेजा ने। हर इंसान के भीतर एक डर छिपा होता है, जो समय और परिस्थितियों के अनुसार बाहर आता है। जॉनी ने अपनी इस डेब्यू फिल्म के जरिए दर्शकों के भीतर से वही डर बाहर निकालने या थ्रिल पैदा करने की कोशिश की है। लैट्स रिंग द बैल के बैनर तले बनी इस फिल्म में वह सबकुछ है, जिसे देखकर दर्शक सहम जाएंगे और इसी में जॉनी की सफलता है। वह कहते हैं कि मैं अपने कॅरियर की शुरूआत ऐसी फिल्म से करना चाहता था, जिसकी कहानी बिल्कुल हटकर हो। स्टीरियो टाइप चीज़ों को तोड़ने के मकसद से ही मैंने इस फिल्म को करने का फैसला किया। अब हमें यह समझना होगा कि दर्शकों के पास ऑप्शन्स खुले हैं। वह ऐसी फिल्में देखना चाहते हैं, जिससे खुद को कनेक्ट कर पाएं। यकीनन, हमने ऐसी ही फिल्म बनाने का प्रयास किया है, जो लोगों के मूड के हिसाब से आगे बढ़े। आज दर्शक बेहद जागरूक हैं। यदि मेकर्स ने उनकी मानसिकता को समझ लिया, तो वो बैस्ट ही देगा। फिल्म के डायरेक्टर ईशान हैं, जिन्होंने यह फिल्म लिखी है। इससे पहले वो फिल्म ‘गुलाम’ और ‘सोचा न था’ भी लिख चुके हैं। फिल्म में रितू मजूमदार का भी अहम रोल है।
बता दें कि जॉनी बावेजा निर्मात्रा त्रिलोचन सिंह बावेजा के पुत्र हैं, जिन्होंने त्रिनेत्र बनाई थी। रिश्ते में जुड़े हैरी बावेजा को उन्होंने ही बतौर निर्देशक पहला अवसर दिया था। एक लंबे समय के गैप के बाद त्रिलोचन सिंह के बेटे जॉनी ने ही कमान संभाली और दर्शकों को जबरदस्त फिल्में देने के मकसद से आगे आए। अब ये तो लोग ही तय करेंगे कि जॉनी और उनकी फिल्म में कितना दम है, पर जॉनी बावेजा दावा करते हैं कि हमारी फिल्म का हर किरदार अपने आप में दमदार है। विधु का किरदार निभा रहे जॉनी को दर्शक परदे पर स्ट्रªेट फारवर्ड, हार्ड हिटिंग और बोल्ड कैरेक्टर के रूप में देखेंगे। वह सच बोलने से डरता नहीं। उसकी बातें कड़वी जरूर हैं लेकिन यही कड़वा सच है। जॉनी कहते हैं कि ‘ए स्कैंडल’ रियल लाइफ इन्सीडेंट से इंस्पॉयर्ड है। वह कहते हैं कि मैं रोमांटिक फिल्म से अपनी शुरूआत नहीं करना चाहता था। रोमांस आमतौर पर हर फिल्म में होता है। मेरी फिल्म में भी है, लेकिन यह अहम बिंदु नहीं है। एक रहस्य के इर्द-गिर्द ही यह घूमता है। मेरी एक गर्लफ्रेंड है, जिसके जरिए मैं एक रहस्य जानना चाहता हूं। क्या है वो रहस्य! यह तो फिल्म देखने पर ही पता चलेगा, पर फिल्म सोचने पर मजबूर कर देगी। व्यक्ति के भीतर का पागलपन किस रूप में बाहर आता है, वह मानव के किरदार में नज़र आएगा, जो अपनी नौ साल की बच्ची कुहू को खो चुके हैं, जिससे वह बातें करते हैं। इस तरह के कई रहस्यों से गुंथी है यह फिल्म।
