The most awaited Indian web series, Love Life & Screw Ups!!! first look poster was launched with much fanfare in New York at My True Colors Festival. It marks the digital debut of all time diva Zeenat Aman. She will be again seen in a super glamorous avatar. She plays Joanna, a non-apologetic vain, happy go lucky owner of a café, who is full of life, fun and positivity. This cool and trendy series is a story of bunch of friends and their screwed up love life. Zeenat is part of this chilled out crazy gang.
Writer and director Kapil Kaustubh Sharma is tapping her crazy comical side again, which we saw in movies like Manaronjan, Heera Panna and Yaadon Ki Baraat. He had to wait for two months before he got to meet the veteran actress. He admits that she was unsure about going digital but was hooked when she heard the concept, even remarking that “this could have been a movie!” Zeenat has taken an active interest in her styling. Her look is inspired from the ‘70s; she’ll be seen in long skirts, scarves and large goggles. Zeenat has worked hard to look her best in the series. For three months she been on a strict diet and rigorously working out to get in right shape for the super glam Joanna.
This is first Indian series, which stars popular names from cinema, TV, theatre and modelling world like Mita Vashisht, Dolly Thakore, Kapil Kaustubh Sharma, Yuvraaj Parashar, Sonali Raut, Diandra Soares, Sushant Divgikar, Akshay Sethi, Firdaus Mewawala, Umesh Pherwani, Sidharth Dhanda, along with new faces Vibhoutee Sharma, Sezal Sharma, Shipra Kasana, Ashish Sachdeva, Shadab Khan, Meghaa, Mahi Sharma, Ruchita Tahiliani, Ashish Khatri, Riyaz Quereshi and Rahul Jain.
It is a feel good romantic comedy youth based show. The look of the show is grand and glossy. The show will be aired with English subtitles keeping the global audience in mind.
Veteran producer K.C.Sharma is presenting it. It is produced by Yuvraaj Parashar. Co-produced by Gulamani Production House. Associate producer is Khatri Constructions. Music is by Nikhil Kamath. A peppy number is sung by Bappi Lahiri. Cinematography is by K Ramsingh. Editing is by Parth Bhatt. Choreography is by Reshma Khan. Several talented actors and actresses have come to Bollywood from Punjab and created their own individual identities here. Like Juhi Chawla and Divya Dutta who came from Ludhiana, now a beautiful, glamorous, lucky and versatile actress called Sufi Gulati has come from Ludhiana and making her debut with producers Faaiz Anwar and Prem Prakash Gupta’s romantic comedy film Love Ke Funday, which has been directed by Indervesh Yogee, who is making his debut with the film. Sufi had earlier made her debut as an actress with the Punjabi film Munde Kamaal De, which was a super duper hit. Love Ke Funday is slated for release in July this year.
Excerpts from the conversation:
How did you bag your break in films? Besides you, is anyone else in your family connected to films?
It had always been a dream of mine to become a film actress, though I have no relative who is associated with the film industry. In our conservative family no girl even dares to go out of her house. I did my shooting in Punjab. My folks asked me to complete my education first and then try to choose any vocation for myself, as they rightly felt that I would be secure in life only if I am well versed in education. I studied first and secured a degree for myself in fashion designing in Delhi as fashion is very integral to the film industry and then came to Mumbai in search of work.
How did you bag the assignment to act in Love Ke Funday? What exactly is your role in the film?
I met the director of the film when I landed in Mumbai, who in turn introduced me to the producer Faaiz Anwarji who signed me for the film. I play the role of Riya, who is a rich but simple girl who is in charge of her own business empire. Riya is in a live-in relationship with a young boy. The film shows the ups and downs in Riya’s life.
Is there any memorable incident while shooting the film which you want to share with us?
When I gave my dates for the shooting, frankly I did not know whether I would be able to act properly and face the camera. When I told Faaizji that I wasn’t sure whether I could act and was confused, he boosted my morale by telling me that he had ample confidence in my capacity to act and said that I would deliver properly. Faaizji made me understand the nuances of acting by making me go though the workshop. I shot well and was happy.
As the film has three more actors, to what extent do you think you have any scope to act in the film?
My role is emotional and I am confident that my role will touch every one’s heart. Though people will enjoy the comedy, my role will also make an impact in the hearts of the viewers.
Are you also keen on acting in TV serials?
Though right now I am not acting in even a single TV serial, if only the opportunity arises, I would not hesitate to grab any offer to be part of a TV show. Today the times and the trends have changed and if only an actor is good looking as well as talented, he or she can make a living out of working in both films as well as TV.
Do you wish to convey any message to your fans?
We have worked very hard for the film Love Ke Funday which has shaped up well. We need the love of the audiences and I want them to watch the film at least once. If any one does not like my work, then I am sorry.
Okay Sufi. What are your future plans?
I want to make a name for myself in the film industry. I do not want to run after any one or either go ahead of any one or be behind anyone but to have a separate identity of my own and last in the film industry.

Government of India thought the National Excellence Award recognises talent that has excelled in their respective field be it art, social work, technology, science, etc. This year the 16th National Excellence Award ceremony was held with great aplomb in the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh, Indore. All the important political and Government officials were present at the celebrated event organised by Alma Group.
At this glittering ceremony Bollywood choreographer and dancer Sandip Soparrkar was honoured with the “16th National Excellence Award” for his contribution in the field of dance. Sandip was one of the the first few choreographers who brought in international dances on the big screen and also introduced Ballroom and Latin Dance culture to dance lovers in India apart from making it famous on Indian television reality shows. Soparrkar’s distinctive style of choreography can be seen from the very beginning of his career back in 2001. Some of his most notable work of includes choreography for films like Zubaidaa, Kites and Saat Khoon Maaf, Mangal Pandey, etc. Plus he has taken India globally by teaching dance to International icons like Madonna, Britney Spears and Beyonce Knowles. Many young influences of Bollywood today also happened to be a part of Sandip Soparrkar’s Ballroom Studio.
This year The Government of India and Alma Group recognised Sandip Soparrkar’s incredible work in Bollywood and Hollywood by bestowing him with the “National Excellence Award 2016”. Former Cabinet Minister honourable Shri Mani Shankar Aiyer presented him the stunning Ashok Stambh Trophy and a bronze medal along with a certificate.
Speaking on the occasion the dance maestro said, “I feel truly humbled that our government has given me this recognition, this is my 2nd national honour, first being the “National Achievement Award” in 2014. With this award in my hand I promise that I will continue to introduce various world dances to dance lovers of my country and try and bring the world closer though my art form.”
Prem Prakash Gupta, who had produced the film Super Model as well as the Punjabi film Munde Kamaal De has now joined hands with lyricist Faaiz Anwar and made a romantic comedy called Love Ke Funday which is slated for release in July. Indervesh Yogee has written and directed the film. Prem Prakash Gupta is a successful business man in Bangalore who deals with steel and his company is known as Triveni Enterprises. The film has been made with four talented actors and actresses playing the lead.
Excerpts from the conversation:
How did you enter the field of films?
I came into this field thanks to my friend like Faaiz Anwar. Earlier I had also made a video called Vodka Shot. Then I made the film Super Model which was okay at the box office and Munde Kamal De which was a super duper hit. Now I have made a film called Love Ke Funday which is slated for release next month.
Why did you cast all four newcomers in your film instead of opting for a big star cast?
Established actors trouble you while new comers are ready to work with you at your convenience and are at your disposal. In any case it was the demand of the subject that made us choose new comers for the film. If we do not give break to new faces, who will? Newcomers come with a, lot of hopes from all over the country. Those who are in demand today were also new comers at one time. If somebody had not given them a break, they would not have been able to reach greater heights now. If a film is good, it will run, whether it boasts new faces or mega stars.
Did you enter the field to enjoy yourself or create additional revenue model for your business?
There are many ways to enjoy. I have come here to treat film making as a business revenue model. Am busy with my steel business for which I devote more time. I make films only with the help of my friends.
People say that new producers are so often exploited and made fools. Did you also have a bitter experience when you entered production?
If only you work with caution taking a lot of precaution, no such thing will happen with you. By God’s grace however, till date, whoever I have worked with has been very good to me. In any case, I am of the opinion that if you are good, you will get good people too.
What next?
Right now, besides Love Ke Funday I am also producing many more films with Faaizbhai. Currently, I am also producing one of the Punjabi film called Sachhi Muchhi Love Ho Gaya and a Hindi film with big stars.
सेंसर बोर्ड को लेकर विवाद अभी खत्म भी नहीं हुआ कि एक और हिंदी फिल्म ”ये है जजमेंट हैंग्ड टिल डेथ” को लेकर विवाद शुरू हो गया है. 1993 ब्लास्ट के दोषी याकूब मेमन से प्रेरित फिल्म बनाने वाले निर्माताओं ने आरोप लगाया है कि सेंसर बोर्ड में न सिर्फ उनकी फिल्म को तीन बार रिजेक्ट किया गया बल्कि फिल्म में मेमन के जिक्र वाले हर सीन को हटाने के लिए भी कहा गया.
कई कट लगाकर दिया U/A सर्टिफिकेट
सेंसर बोर्ड ने इसके पीछे कई कारण बताए, जिनमें से एक कारण याकूब मेमन जैसे किरदार का फिल्म में होना है. मेमन का जिक्र करने वाले सीन्स को हटाने के बाद ‘ये है जजमेंट हैंग्ड टिल डेथ’ नाम की इस फिल्म को सेंसर बोर्ड ने U/A सर्टिफिकेट दिया है.
ऑफ रिकॉर्ड रहा सब
फिल्म के निर्देशक मन कुमार ने कहा, ‘हमें तीन रिलीज डेट कैंसल करनी पड़ी. हमें कट और सुझाव को लेकर कुछ भी लिखित में नहीं दिया गया था. सब ऑफ रिकॉर्ड कहा गया और याकूब मेमन को फांसी पर लटकाने जैसे सीन्स को हटाया गया.’
मेकर्स ने खुद हटाए दिए ये सीन
फिल्म में याकूब मेमन का रोल कर रहे अभिनेता निशांत कुमार ने कहा, ‘मैंने फिल्म में एक्टिंग करने से पहले याकूब मेमन का इंटरव्यू ऑनलाइन देखा था ! फिल्म के अभिनेता निशांत कुमार ने बताया की याकूब की सजा से प्रेरित है फिल्म ”ये है जजमेंट हैंग्ड टिल डेथ” से ! ये फिल्म अगले माह जुलाई २०१६ में रिलीज होगी इंडिया में ! निशांत कुमार का दावा है कि फिल्म याकूब मेमन की फांसी की सजा से प्रेरित है,उसके जीवन से इसका कोई लेना-देना नहीं है.निशांत कुमार ने कहा,’ये फिल्म हिन्दू-मुस्लिम सद्भावना का संदेश देती है और ये किसी भी कानून का उल्लंघन नहीं करेगी.’

मॉडल एक्ट्रेस सोफ़िया हयात जिन्हे अाजकल गईया मदर सोफ़िया के नाम से जानते हैं ,इन्होंने वर्ल्ड योगा डे के लिए अपने दोस्त एकता जैन के साथ योगा पोज़ मे निलॉय कुमार डे के साथ अंधेरी मे फ़ोटो शूट कराया। फ़ोटो शूट मे लगभग चार घंटे लगे जिसमे गईया मदर सोफ़िया एवं एकता जैन ने कई तरह के योगा के पोज़ किए। सोफ़िया ने स्वछ भारत अभियान की बहुत सराहना की।
Embassy of India, Paris is organising a series of events on Yoga on the occasion of the Second International Day of Yoga. As a part of these celebrations, a Yoga event was organised at the iconic Eiffel Tower on 19 June 2016 in Paris. The event saw an overwhelming response. Due to constraints of ongoing security measures, the participation had to be limited to 300 Yoga enthusiasts chosen through a lucky draw out of more than 2000 registrations received. The youngest Yoga enthusiast was a 6-year old (boy) while the oldest was the 92-year old senior citizen.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of India, Dr. Mohan Kumar emphasized the importance of Yoga for a healthy and balanced life. The event commenced with a meditation session by the teachers of the Shivananda Yoga Centre in Paris. Synchronised asanas and mudras by the participants at the foot of the iconic Eiffel Tower were a visual delight.
Earlier on 18 June, another Yoga event organised by the Embassy at the La Villette park in Paris drew more than 2000 participants. An important part of the event was a narration of personal experiences of several individuals who immensely benefitted from Yoga. Their addresses drew much applause from the participants.
On 21 June, the Embassy of India will organize Yoga on the river Seine onboard the famous Bateaux Mouches boat sailing from the Eiffel Tower to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Meanwhile, news of celebrations of the International Yoga Day is being received from many other parts of France including from the cities of Gretz, Strasbourg, Avignon and the overseas territories like Guadeloupe and Martinique islands.
Managing Director of World News Network Satish Reddy said, “I am glad to be the part of this International Yoga Festival in Paris. Yoga is an ancient science which leads to health in the body, peace in the mind, joy in the heart, and liberation of the soul. इस शो में एक परिवार है जिसमें एक बूढ़े रँगीले व्यक्ति का घर है वहीँ कुछ लोग उस घर में किराये पर रहने आते हैं जहाँ पर वे लोग उस बूढ़े की नौकरानी सेल्युलर बाई के चक्कर में पड़ जाते हैं । घर में एक 2G है , मिंटो और विकल्प के रूप में दो एंकर हैं, एक मौसा मौसी भी हैं जो कुल मिलाकर पूरा मनोरंजन करते हैं । शो के सारे प्रतिभागी युवा हैं और हर कोई अपने काम में महारत रखता है । एक सवाल के जवाब में करुणा कहती हैं की यह एक कॉमेडी शो नहीं बल्कि यह एक सोशल मिडिया अवेयरनेस प्रोग्राम है जिसके जरिये हम लोगों की निजी जिंदगी की परेशानियों को हास्य परिहास के तौर पर दिखा रहे हैं । और यह फैंसला उनपर छोड़ते हैं की वे सोंचें की अब आगे उनको क्या करना है या क्या उनके लिए सही है ।
जी टीवी, स्टार प्लस और सहारा चैनल सहित मनोरंजन जगत में लगभग अपने 37 साल के अनुभव के साथ जीवन के हर पहलू को करीब से देख चुकीं करुणा समतानी ने लाइफ़ के रिचार्ज के बारे में खुलकर बातें की । रात 11 बजे की टाइमिंग पर उन्होंने कहा की यह फैसला चैनल का है और उनलोगों ने इस टाइम को मेट्रो सिटी की टाइमिंग बताया । और वैसे भी ये सारी घटनाएं अमूमन मेट्रो सिटी में ही अधिक हो रही हैं ।
