Mumbai: Purple Pebble Pictures announced the appointment of Petrina D’rozario as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Purple Pebble Pictures is a production house set up by Priyanka Chopra and Dr. Madhu Chopra with an aim to produce good quality content across films within regional and mainstream, television and digital.
Petrina, in her new role oversees the content that comes into Purple Pebble and identifies the right partners to work with who have the passion in the business of storytelling. Petrina would also help develop business across the verticals and over see the structure and working of day to day operations. Along with this, she will also be managing existing teams at Purple Pebble and manage and develop IP across the verticals.
Speaking about her new role, Petrina D’Rozario says, “WIFT India was a great platform for me to meet some amazing talent from the industry. I have personally met people who have had scripts and asked for help to meet the right producers. Hopefully I being in a position of whetting projects at Purple Pebble encourage some of these talented storytellers to reach out to me.
Priyanka Chopra has an entire team of women. In her own way, she looks out for the women in our industry and takes pride in girl-power. The same goes for Dr. Madhu Chopra, who is the CEO and I take pride in saying my bosses are women who are truly infusing.”
Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Madhu Chopra says, “Purple Pebble Pictures is a start up production house with the heart of a lion. Fearless to explore and work on films across genres and languages. We have just started and have already completed 2 feature films – BAM BAM BOL RAHA HAIN KASHI AND VENTILATOR. Our third film SARVANN is due to release in December. Petrina joins us at the crux of imbibing a corporate culture to our modus operandi and with her experience we hope Purple Pebble Pictures becomes a production house that has the working style of a corporate and heart of a home especially to talent that needs a platform to showcase their abilities.”
Petrina has worked as a Producer on ad-films. Petrina spearheads the shaping of WIFT India (www.wift.co.in) and is responsible for the development of the chapter’s strategy, network and aim to enhance the visibility of women working in film & television. Today she sits on the board as the Founder President of WIFT India and on the International Board of WIFT (L.A) in the Communications and Marketing committee. Her first short film produced, ‘PYAAS’(2013) was selected in various international film festivals. Born and raised in Calcutta, Petrina was an all-rounder in school winning accolades. Her love for filmmaking made her take a year-long sabbatical during which she enrolled into South Seas Film School in New Zealand and graduated with a distinction & double major in documentary directing and producing. Ideating, developing, executing and marketing projects with efficiency are Petrina’s forte. She has been part of various co-productions for feature films, television and short films with Greece, Australia, New Zealand and India in the capacity of an associate producer, producer, executive producer, assistant director and creative director.
JAIPUR, 14 th NOVEMBER 2016: The second edition of National Children’s Film Festival (NCFF),
organised by Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI) in association with Government of Rajasthan, opened to a colourful start on Monday in the Pink City of Jaipur.
The three-day biennial event was inaugurated by Honourable Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Shri Rajyavardhan Rathore at the Birla Auditorium here in the presence of Shri Mukesh Khanna, Chairman of CFSI, Dr. Shravan Kumar, CEO of CFSI and prominent Bollywood celebrities Shri Irrfan Khan, Shri Anil Kapoor, Shri Piyush Pandey, Ms. Ila Arun along with our very own little heroes Darsheel Safari, Faisal Khan and Ritvik.
With ‘Make in India’ as the central theme of the second edition of NCFF, the festival will showcase 40 films across 10 theatres in the city from Nov 14 to 16. These films are either made or shot in India or the makers are Indian. The list also includes a score of unreleased films produced by CFSI.
In a bid to expand the market for children's film and encourage talent in the country, Children’s Film Society, India launched the first edition of the National Children’s Film Festival in 2014 in Delhi with ‘Swachtha’ as the festival theme.
The film festival kick started with the screening of CFSI’s offering ‘Gauru’, directed by Ramkishan Choyal, who is from Rajasthan. Gauru holds a special place in the hearts of the audience as the entire film is also shot in Rajasthan. Other fresh content that will be screened at the festival are ‘Budhia Singh – Born to Run’ which will be premiered in NCFF.
While Happy Mother’s Day, Kima’s Lode, Harun Arun, Ek Tha Bhujang are produced by CSFI, Half Ticket, Pasanga 2, Bravo Biju, Dad, I am Watching You are a few curated movies amongst others.
The films are carefully handpicked to create an opportunity for children to experience qualitative content made exclusively for them. Some of these films have won several awards, globally.
Armed with the objective of developing a taste for good cinema and with a view to getting children acquainted with the basics of film making, CFSI is conducting workshops in filmmaking, Script writing and animation. These Workshops will be conducted for groups of talented and deserving children between the age group of 5 to 16 years.
For the first time in National Children’s Film Festival, CFSI is also holding Open Forums where noted filmmakers of children’s films will interact with the children audience and share their view points on film making and developing quality content for children.
The NCFF will also present a Kids Carnival on all the three days with puppetry shows, tattoo stalls and a specially designed marketing stall. Entry to the carnival, from 10 am to 4 pm, is free.
द्वितीय राष्ट्रीय बाल फिल्म महोत्सव की जयपुर में शानदार शुरुआत
जयपुर – १४ नवम्बर २०१६ – बाल चित्र समिति, भारत एवं राजस्थान सरकार के संयुक्त तत्वाधान मे आयोजित द्वितीय राष्ट्रीय बाल फिल्म महोत्सव २०१६, आज बिरला सभाग्रह, जयपुर में एक भव्य समारोह प्रारंभ हुआ |
कर्नल राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौड, माननीय सुचना एवं प्रसारण, केंद्र मंत्री, भारत सरकार ने बिरला सभाग्रह, जयपुर मे आज इस त्रि-दिवसीय बाल फिल्म महोत्सव का उद्घाटन किया | इस कार्यक्रम मे बाल चित्र समिति के अध्यक्ष श्री मुकेश खन्ना और प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकारी डॉ श्रवण कुमार के साथ कई जानी मानी फ़िल्मी हस्तियां मौजूद थी | जाने माने अभिनेता श्री इरफ़ान खान NCFF2016 में विशिष्ठ अतिथि और श्री अनिल कपूर, विशेष अतिथि के रूप में उपस्तिथ थे | विज्ञापन क्षेत्र से जुड़े नामी व्यक्तिव पियूष पाण्डे एवं बॉलीवुड अदाकारा इला अरुण भी समारोह में मौजूद थी | इनके आलावा दर्शील सफारी, फैज़ल खान एवं ऋत्विक जैसे कई नामी बाल कलाकारों ने इस कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ायी.
इस NCFF2016 का केंद्रीय विषय “मेक इन इंडिया” रखा गया है | जयपुर के १० सिनेमा घरों में अगले तीन दिनों में करीब ४० बाल फिल्मों का प्रदर्शन किया जायेगा | या तो यह सभी फिल्में भारत में बनी हुयी हैं या इनके निर्माता भारतीय हैं |
बाल फिल्मों को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिये बाल चित्र समिति, भारत ने वर्ष २०१४ में प्रथम राष्ट्रीय बाल फिल्म महोत्सव (NCFF) का प्रारंभ दिल्ली में किया था, जिसका विषय “स्वछता” था |
इस बाल फिल्म महोत्सव का प्रारंभ राजस्थान में चित्रित फिल्म गौरू से हुआ | यह गौरतलब है की गौरू के निर्माता नागौर से हैं और एक प्रमुख भूमिका इला अरुण ने निभायी है, जो खुद भी जयपुर से ही हैं | इसके आलावा “बुधिया – ओन दी रन”, हैप्पी मदर्स डे, किमाज़ लोड, हारून अरुण, हाफ टिकेट, पसंगा-२, ब्रेवो बीजू, डैड, आय ऍम वाचिंग यू इत्यादि और भी कई बाल फिल्में भी इस महोत्सव में दिखाई जाएँगी | इनमें से कई फिल्मों ने विश्वस्तिरिय पुरस्कार प्राप्त किये हैं |
इस फिल्म महित्सव मे बाल चित्र समिति, फिल्म निर्माण, एनीमेशन और कथानक लेखन की कार्यशालाओं का आयोजन भी कर रही है | इसके अलावा पहली बार राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव में “ओपन फोरम” का आयोजन किया जा रहा है, जहां बच्चे भी फिल्मों में अपने विचार रख पायेंगे |
इसके अलावा बच्चों के लिये विशेष कार्निवाल का भी आयोजन जवाहर कला केंद्र में किया गया है | बाल चित्र समिति का अपना एक “मोबाइल एप्प” भी है, और एक विशेष प्रतियोगिता में प्रत्येक १४वे डाउनलोड को एक विशेष पुरस्कार दिया जायेगा.
बॉलीवुड हस्तियां टिस्का चोपड़ा और फैज़ल खान इस कार्यक्रम के सूत्रधार थे और टेरेंस डांस ग्रुप ने एक रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम पेश किया
Writer-producer-director and editor Dilip Gulati and Studio DG Production House’s 9’s MAFIA BIGG BOSS has been passed by the censors with an A ceritificate with minor cuts. The film is now ready for release during December all over with the Mumbai territory being released from Dilip Gulati’s own distribution wing. Earlier on October 28th, Dilip Gulati went to Dubai and launched the film’s first look at five of the most popular places in Dubai starting from Sunil Bhambani and Karan Bhambani’s chain, Bhagwan Bhojwani fom Food Industry and Sada Chadda from the Alcohol industry also graced the events.
The film is a drama of the underworld from 1960 till date and introduces Dilip Gulati himself in the fiery role of the most wanted Don. मुम्बई। पूरे देश में सरकार द्वारा ५०० और १००० के बंद हुए नोट को लेकर काफी हंगामा हो रहा है। आखिर देश के कवियों के क्या विचार है?इसी को लेकर सामाजिक संस्था ‘गांधी विचार मंच’ द्वारा कवि सम्मलेन यानि काव्य-संध्या ‘कागज़ के तीन दुकड़े’ का आयोजन संस्था के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मनमोहन गुप्ता द्वारा अजंता पार्टी हॉल,एस वी रोड, गोरेगाँव (वेस्ट),मुम्बई-६२ पर संध्याकाल साढ़े पांच बजे शनिवार १९ नवम्बर २०१६ को रक्खा गया ।
जिसमे काफी नामीग्रामी कविगण अपनी कविता द्वारा लोगों को अपने विचार व्यक्त करेंगे। सामाजिक संस्था ‘गांधी विचार मंच’ के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मनमोहन गुप्ता ने संस्था की तरफ से सभी जनता से निवेदन किया है कि वे कार्यक्रम में पधार कर कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाये। इस कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश निःशुल्क है।

कटिहार(बिहार)।आज पूरे देश में नोट को बदलने के लिए अफरा तफरी का माहौल बना हुआ है।रातों रात ५०० और १००० नोट बंदी के कारण लोग ट्रैन में,रेलवे स्टेशन,होटल,गांव में फंस गए और अब घंटों बैंकों की क़तार में खड़े रहने के बाद भी नया नोट काफी लोगों को नहीं मिल पा रहा है,लोगों को शादी, ब्याह,कार्यक्रम करने में दिक्कतआ रही है।सबसे बड़ी बात है आज लोगों को भोजन, चाय, सब्जी इत्यादि में दिक्कत आ रही है।कई लोगों की मौत भी हो गई है।जिसका कारण मोदीजी के बिना तैयारी के नोट बंदी,जोकि कोई नयी सोच नहीं है। यह डॉ.बाबा साहेब आम्बेडकर ने बर्षों पहले कहा था कि यदि देश में ज्यादा काला धन हो जाय तो विमुद्रीकरण करना चाहिए।ऐसा कहना है कई हिंदी फिल्मों और कई भोजपुरी फिल्मों में भी बतौर हीरो काम करने वाले तथा धारावाहिक ‘साथ निभाना साथिया’ में पिछले ६ वर्षों से चिराग मोदी उर्फ़ मोटा भाई की भूमिका निभानेवाले और गाँव कटिहार (बिहार) के रहनेवालेबहुमुखी प्रतिभाशाली एक्टर नीरज भारद्धाज ने बॉलीवुड में बिहार का नाम रोशन किया है।का।
फिल्म और टीवी अभिनेता नीरज भारद्धाज कहते है,” सरकार के पास इतने बड़े बड़े अर्थशाष्त्री है,उनसे सलाह करनी चाहिए था। कुछ नहीं तो सरकार को घोषणा करना चाहिए था कि देश में दो हज़ार का नया नोट आ रहा है और पाँच सौ का नया नोट आ रहा है। जोकि लोगों को बैंकों में इस तारीख से मिलेगा और उसके बाद नोट छापकर जिस तरह दो दिन बैंक बंद किया था,बंद करके बैंकों में और एटीएम को दुरुस्त करके उसमें भी पंहुचा देते और बाद में नोट बंदी करते तो यह ना होता।सरकार की बिना तैयारी के निर्णय के कारण देश में अफरा तफरी का माहौल बना है। आज मैं क्या,देश क्या?संसार में किसी से पूछेंगे तो सभी कहेंगे कि वे काले धन, भ्रष्टाचार, आतंकवाद के खिलाफ है। मैं और पूरा देश मोदीजी का समर्थ करते है,लेकिन यह सरकार की बिना तैयारी के निर्णय देश की जनता के साथ खिलवाड़ जैसा है।आज जो बाज़ारों में प्रतिदिन करोड़ों का नुकसान हो रहा है और पता नहीं कितने महीने में सुधरेगा? क्या वह वापस आएगा? हर दिन नई-नई घोषणा होती है,कहाँ तक आम आदमी सरकार की घोषणा पर भरोसा करे?”
आगे नीरज भारद्धाज कहते है,”आज देश की पूरी जनता अपने खून पसीने की कमाई लेने के लिए प्रतिदिन काम धंधा छोड़कर लाइन में कड़ी है, जबकि सरकार को पता है कि काला धन केवल २५ प्रतिशत लोगों के पास है।आज जो विरोध करे वह मोदी के खिलाफ है,वह देश भक्त नहीं है,अरे भाई कोइ भी उनके खिलाफ नहीं है,सरकार की नीतिओं के खिलाफ है। कुछ गन्दी मछली पकड़ने के लिए पूरा तालाब सुखाना कहा की अकलमंदी है?आजकल आता है कि देश के लिए परिवार छोड़ दिया। तो क्या सभी लोग अपने परिवार को छोड़ दे?सभी लोग अपनी जिम्मेदारी तो छोड़कर नहीं भाग सकते है। ना मैं कांग्रेसी हूँ और ना ही बीजेपी का हूँ, जो जनता के हित में काम करे मैं उसके साथ में हूँ।भाषण,घोषणा और प्रचार बहुत हो गया,अब लोगों को एक्शन चाहिए जिससे उनको राशन मिले और ठीक से खा पी सके।”

Solo Photo Exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery, from 16th to 22nd November, 2016, the Pune based eminent artist Vanita tries to trace the missing link of her childhood memories from her native place Wai, a small town in Maharashtra near Pune. This solo Painting exhibition inaugurated by renowned film Actress Madhur Velankar – Satam.
After spending a long time abroad Vanita was fascinated by the Indian Sculptures and Temple Architecture which she deiced to capture them into digital format on canvas and decorate it with further magical strokes in her personal visual language. In her images she strikes a dialogue between manmade heritage, its cultural meaning in contemporary context that emerges into innovative form of Artwork.
“Creating image is about telling powerful stories. I use Photography as a tool for creating awareness and understanding across cultures, communities, and countries; a tool to make sense of our commonalities in the world we share. I believe the way to find common ground is by seeing yourself in others.”, says the vetran artist photographer Vanita Jadhav. Through her photographs Vanita brings forth the valued cultural practices, timeless Indian traditions that are fast missing in recent times. She sheds light on the myths of this country of mysterious paradoxes; the land where civilizations and times intermix, a mysterious place which attracts people from all over the world.
Vanita has spends a significant amount of time reading ancient Indian Mythology, Manuscripts, Scriptures, such as Vedas, Bhagvad Gita which is also reflected in her art. Vanita has passion for teaching and she has also supported upcoming artist in various ways. The artist never ceases to learn, “I believe art inspires me to learn every day….” exclaims the artist.
Vanita has been internationally recognized for her contribution towards documenting the Cultural images from Wai. She has received a Certificate of appreciation from the former President of India Late Dr. Abdul Kalam for her effort. She was a Convener for INTACH Wai-Pachgani Chapter through which she promotes the conservation and promotion of Indian culture and ethos. Her artistic journey of past 45 years is also apparent in the way she has handled her various projects while creating meaningful dialogues with her environment. She has also held several significant Solo and Group in India and Abroad including, GE Building, New York, DIAGEO Art Gallery, Satmford, USA and many more. To recognize her contribution to conserve the culture and significance of Wai, she has also been felicitated by ‘Wai Gaurav Puraskar’.
Vanita’s journey as a person from a small village in India to the megacity of New York is commendable. It is worth to mention here that Vanita never lets go any opportunity to learn and inculcate new art practices. When she travels to meet her two sons in New York she makes a point to reenergize and broaden her artistic knowledge and vision. She is also a member of the prestigious, ‘Art Students League of India.’

तेजो महालय, फिल्म जल्दी ही दर्शको के सामने आ जाएगी. यह एक डॉक्यूमेंट्री फिल्म होगी, जिसे सालो से रिसर्च करने के बाद दीपक सारस्वत ने लिखा और एक फिल्मका स्वरुप दिया. अभी किसी अभिनय चरित्र का चयन नहीं हुआ है, चूंकि, यह एक ज्वलनशील मुद्दा है, इसलिए निर्देशक ऐसे चुपचाप शूट करना चाहते है ! एक स्थानीय अख़बार से बातचीत करते हुए निर्देशक बताते है की उनका इशारा किसी जातीय या धार्मिक भावना को ठेस पहुँचना नहीं है. वल्कि उस सच को सामनेलाना है, जिसे आम जनता से दूर रखा गया है. कई सारे सबूतों को परदे पर दिखाकर दीपक सारस्वत इतिहास के असली चेहरे को दिखाना चाहते है. उम्मीद की जा रहीहै की शांति पूर्ण इस कहानी को निर्देशक जनता के सामने ला पाए ताकि फिर से कोई बाबरी मस्जिद जैसा विवाद न खड़ा हो जाए. !इस फिल्म की दिसंबर तक आम लोगो के बीच आने की संभावनाएं है !
