EARLY LIFE -:
Born on 12th dec 1968 in north Karnataka Gulbarga, he is the only son of Haji Mhod.Khasim and Tahira begum .In 1971 his father shifted to Mumbai.
In 1989 Mumbai was in the clutches of drugs After completing a short term para professional course in social work he has written street play ANTH, to spread awareness. The first shows of ANTH took place on 11th jan 1989 at sangam maiden jeogeshwari east. Through this street plays Yusuf Qasmi has raised voice and started creating awareness among the masses. After that he started getting requests to do more street plays on social issues. Some of the early shows were supported by Mukti Sadan. It was surprise that he got threat from local drugs peddler,he became complainer against the peddler later on he was arrested by narcotics department. It has made him a real hero in his area.
He entered Bollywood because this will provide him lager platform to express his views and help him in creating awareness for social issues.
He learned writing skills from his school friend Khalid siddque’s uncle , legendary writer JAVED SIDDIQUI SAHAB, where javed sahab used to share working experiences of veteran actress smita patil that inspires yusuf Qasmi and he kept his theatre group’s name on her .
Yusuf also assisted writer kamlesh pandey In 1999 he joined Etv Urdu and Directed Documentr Film Shehenshah – e – Deccan based on Hazrat Khwaja Bandenawaz(RA). He is casted as Main Villain in BIJUKA which is screened in Cannes Film Festival

He even worked as associate director to ravi davla for TV Serial Autostand, Telefilm Jadugar and Mukkamal Jahan telecasted on ETV Urdu and associate director to Abhinav Kashyap (Dabang fame) for TV Serial Siddhanth telecasted on Star One in 2004.

1) Hello and welcome Dillzan, please tell us something about yourself.
I am not a star-son nor I have any godfather in the industry so it was very difficult for me to come to this point which I believe is still a start. I Have to go a long way and I am sure I will gain success.
2) When and how did you decide to enter film acting?
Since my childhood I had a dream to become and actor and I just went after it. I left my hometown Baroda when i was just 14 and struggled a lot to get recognized in the industry, i also had few bad experiences in the industry, but somehow i had my hopes high and ability to keep moving.
3) Your entry into the film industry. What and who inspired you ?
I was born for this… Acting and achieving dreams as an actor has been by passion since childhood. I have gone through bad phases of my life but I never left the industry. I bet anybody at my place would give up. I got rejections, I got fooled by people in the industry but these were the things to learn, things did not go that good as I thought but one thing was in my mind I will never give up…
4) Tell us about your latest film. Your co-stars, producer, director. Any interesting occurrence during the shoot ?
Talking about my forthcoming film Four Pillars of Basement which is releasing on 6th Nov, The movie is a Romantic, suspense, psycho thriller. I plays a security officer of a mall and assures that my acting will be loved by everyone.I won’t praise myself but I can tell you that the movie won’t let you down and as far as my acting is concern I am for sure to get good comments from the public. The film also had famous Bruna Abdullah, Aaliya singh, Shawar ali, zakir Hussain. Yea the whole shooting was in a way interesting as we were completely shooting in a basement which is no easy to shoot.
5) What message do you wish to convey to our youngsters ? many would like to emulate your journey, what do you wish to say to them?
Well, if you trying to get into this industry .. You need Patients.. you can’t get break immediately.. Unless u r a star son or you have a godfather. I have no godfather in the industry nor I am a star kid… Many a times if you are a star son or if u have a godfather it becomes easy to get a break but that does not mean you will surely gain success, all depends on you and how much you are appreciated by public, if people like your acting you will surely Rock. I did not have any such godfather nor I was an a star son, but I knew one thing if I get a good chance to prove myself I can definitely Rock. So all you guys who are trying please try your best and keep up ur hopes high.. Don’t give up.
6) How are you promoting the film and how are they going?
Yes we have a complete PR AGENCY working for me and the film .. The promos are on all leading channels .. The songs are played on all music channels.. We are having Gr8 city tour to more than 10 cities .visiting malls, radio stations, clubs .. All the leading papers are covering me and the film. It really feels good.

The Brain behind Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi
To direct a movie is not an easy job and to handle umpteen departments of filmmaking single handedly with perfection is really meritorious, especially for a debutant director and Fauzia Arshi is the one who has proved her talent right from her first directorial venture titled Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi. The film is a sheer comedy, being written, produced and directed by Fauzia Arshi, who has also rendered songs, penned and composed the music.
The film’s cast is unique which includes Kader Khan, Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra, Raajpal Yadav, Razzak Khan, Amita Nangia, Vijay Patkar and others. It is jointly produced by Fauzia Arshi and Santosh Bhartiya.
We met the talented and intellectual filmmaker, who being busy educed some time for the interview at her suburban posh office. A great observer and a highly qualified woman, having rich academic background, Fauzia hails from a non-filmi family and holds number of degrees MBA in Marketing, LLB in Criminology, Masters in Commerce, Masters in English, Masters in Journalism and also completed her phD in Industrial Sickness. Being a COO of Daily Multimedia Limited (DML) and producer of films Fatso and Bhaiyyaji Superhitt.
What imbibed her to take up direction? ‘My various experiences, study of encyclopedia and communicate with people from different walks of life, inspired me to make this film. Moreover, the script and content of my film is original and the character’s doesn’t resemble with any reel, but real life Fauzia reveals’. A one woman show, Fauzia is an instant decision maker and does several things at a time with ease which keeps her identity aloof from other filmmakers.
Making a movie with seasoned comedians wasn’t tough as she have been a professor of management, so to manage people doesn’t trouble her. A part from filmmaker, Fauzia is also a guitarist and painter. With Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi, Bollywood introduces Fauzia Arshi as the combination of first female filmmaker and music director.

Ramesh Katheria is a new entrant to the Hindi film firmament as a director. Hailing from Kanpur (UP) he migrated to the Mecca of Hindi films Mumbai in 2014 to make his mark as a director. I had the privilege of meeting him at the office of Leo Media Publications for this write-up. He is a simple down to earth man with high ambitions and aspirations to soar high in the Hindi film industry and earn name and fame and win universal recognition as a director to reckon with. He runs a training institute for aspiring actors and many students from his institute have today become big actors in Bollywood. Interestingly Ramesh is a Law Graduate (BA.LLB) from Kanpur.
What aspired him to enter the Indian film industry?
‘In my childhood I had the aspiration for Dance. But did not have the sources and had to continue my studios. Somehow I did matriculation. To make both ends meet owing to paucity of funds, started giving tuitions to the 10th standard students to earn and to keep the bonfire of my house burning. My aspiration to become something in my chosen career in the film industry took me to Delhi where I had the opportunity to meet a known film director Mr. A.K.Sharma and was lucky to get a break as a Choreographer.
Later met Ms.Raman Cheema, the Makeup artist, who took me to Chandigarh to meet Mr. Rajesh Sharma a film director who gave me a break as an Assistant Director in his Punjabi film. In the year 2005 floated my own film production house as J.K.Films India and released 2500 Music Videos. “U.P. to Bihar” was my first album as a director, second was “Aye Shama Tu Chale” and my third Album was “Deewana” for which I had entrusted the Music composing of a song to today’s highly popular Music Director Ankit Tiwari, the “Aashique 2”, “Singham Returns” and “Mr X” fame. With pride I wish to state I was the person to give the 1st break to Ankit Tiwari who was a mere keyboard player for his own Jagran programmes in Kanpur U.P. and today he is the most popular and sought after Music Director.
Which is your first assignment in Mumbai?
I was given the opportunity by producer Aaradhana Gupta to direct her horror film “HARRAA” The Revenge of Death. Which is the first of its kind Bhojpuri film in the Bhojpuri Film Industry. It has been a long struggle from 2000 in Kanpur to 2014 Miumbai to make my mark and fulfill my aspirations and ambitions as a director.It give me pride that during the making of HARRAA The Revenge of that I also choreographed all the songs myself since it was my childhood aspiration for dance.
I feel proud that my first assignment as a Horror film director has found an entry in 50 International Film Festivals – The New York City International Film Festival, United States, International Film Award Berlin, Germany, Sydney Film Festival, Australia, Toronto Film Festival, Canada, The Los Angeles Horror Film Festival, United States, Warsaw Film Festival Poland and Moscow Film Festival, Russia.
When the writer met Aradhana Gupta, producer of the Horror film HARRAA The Revenge of Death, she gave me to understand that while she gave Ramesh the first break as a director she felt sure that he will make it as an Independent director, but surprisingly, according to Ramesh Katheria who gave the 1st break to Ankit Tiwari he was not sure that Ankit will conquer the hearts of the film fraternity as a Music Director to reckon with.
HARRAA The Revenge of Death is scheduled for 2015 end release and it is the hopes of Aradhana Gupta, the producer and Ramesh Katheria, director that the film will be received well and the audience will acceptit as a good horror film. This is Ramesh Katheria who has directed the Bhojpuri horror film and in one word it will not be out of ;place to stress he is Ramsay of Bhojpuri.

My forthcoming film Four Pillars of Basement is a big film which is releasing on 6th NOV, is a Romantic, suspense, psycho thriller. I plays a security officer of a mall and assures that anybody who enters the Theaters will not come our regretting, My acting will be loved by everyone, well I won’t praise myself but I can tell you that the movie won’t let you down and as far as my acting is concern I will for sure get good comments from the public. Roles like sameer comes once in a life time and I am extremely thankful to god for blessing me with such a challenging role at an early stage of my career. I request everyone to see this movie.
About next project/ future
I and my brother Russy Wadia are working on our next project, It will be a Romantic Comedy which will likely have one of the best actors of all time Govinda. We are also talking with boman irani and sonu sood. The film will be Directed By My brother Russy Wadia.
Dillzan says I know salman Khan very well as we used to go to dance classes to Daisy Irani before 22 years, but till date I have not approached him. I and Russy recently met Govinda for our next project and if everything goes well we will soon announce the project.
Dillzan is also looking up to act with Bollywood icons like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh khan & Akshay kumar soon.
