About Music for a Cause Campaign- The campaign aims at motivating kids to live their passion for music by gifting them musical instruments. To magnify the impact of the campaign, NEWS18.com has connecting with celebrity musicians and encouraged them to gift their pre owned musical instruments, in addition to urging artists to come forward to lend their support for the noble cause. Acclaimed musicians Ehsaan Noorani, Vishal Dadlani, Mohit Chauhan, Subir Malik (Parikrama band) and The Other People Band have pledged their support by willfully agreeing to donate their musical instruments, taking the first step towards the cause.
Taking it a notch higher, NEWS18.com has also joined hands with Music Basti, a well known Delhi based NGO for their ReSound concert,which is slated to take place on February 26 in Delhi. The instruments will be donated to NGO kids at the concert.
Interview excerpts
When was it that you were inclined to music? Since childhood did you always wanted to be a musician?
I had an inclination towards music since childhood. I never really got the perfect opportunity to learn music as a child, because the Indian schooling curriculum did not have a subject dedicated completely to music. Finally, at the age of 19, I decided to take my first step towards it.
How do you think music helps or improves a person to be a better human being?
As a child, I was really violent and aggressive for no reason, and I used to get into trouble for the same. Sometimes, children tend to be rebellious, and I think that is fine too. But in my case, music saved me from getting into fights. When I joined a band in those days, it allowed me to channelize all that energy and aggression. I began expressing myself through my music, which later became my savior. I would like to recommend all the parents to encourage their children to take up music, if they have the genuine inclination towards it.
So what you are saying is that music should be a core part of the curriculum?
Yes, absolutely. For me, that would be a game changer because music helps me how to think analytically, and at the same time helps me stand out and express my emotions as an individual. What more can one ask for?
Have there been instances where you felt that music has saved you like when did you realize music is my calling?
I actually realized it when I performed on stage for the first time. When I came off stage, I felt the blood rushing through my body. I had never felt like that before. When I went home and narrated the incident to my dad, and told him that this is what I wanted to pursue, he just said “OK, go for it.” I think I am very fortunate as my parents have always encouraged me and supported all my decisions.
When it comes to taking a stand why do you think music helps why do you think you as an individual would incline to the society when it comes to doing things for a cause?
The way I see music is completely different. It has given me everything that I have today. Music is the reason that I am what I am today, not just as a personality as everyone knows me today, but even as a human being. I owe everything to music.
You have always stood up for a cause and you have always been like that, does it mean you will continue to be like that?
As long as I can, I would love to continue it. Like I said, every living moment of my life is filled with gratitude for music and gratitude for the love I received because of music. If it is music for a cause where people do such wonderful work, I would contribute in whatever way I can. We have been given so much, the least we can do is to express that to other people and make them realize how wonderful the world can be.
Are you coming up with more songs like Madari?
I would say Madari belongs to Clinton Cerejo. I am just a singer in that song. The lyrics are by Manoj Yadav. I would be really happy to sing a similar kind of song if I get approached by someone.
If you could just talk about sponsoring the guitar
I am giving a guitar to someone with the aim of transforming their life. My first guitar was given to me byan uncle. The guitar was the turning point of my life, and it holds a very special place in my life. He was my father’s friend, and he gave it to me as a gift when he was leaving the country. The feeling of having that instrument changed my life completely. I used to mess around with it all the time initially as I was clueless at that point about what I wanted to do in the future. Finally after many years, I took one or two lessons and learned the most basic chords. My musical journey actually started from there. I just hope that it is the similar kind of experience for the person who receives this. I would like to give this guitar with all my love. I wish everyone the very best for their journey.
Producer-director Rakesh Sawant and the entire cast of the film of Jaya’s Films And Music’s AMAVASYA ( Hindi,Tamil and Telugu) gathered on 16th February at the renowned Prasad Labs. and the audio Cds were released at the hands of renowned actor Mansoor Ali Khan. Jaya’s Music have tied up with Hungama.com for the audio marketing and over 400 digital channels will be promoting the music of the film. The Tamil version, already passed by censors with A certificate, is all set for April release alongwith the Telugu version too. The Hindi version will be released in May all over.

Writer-director Datta Mirkute ( of PREM SANKAT fame) has announced three films titled KADAK and TADKA, both in Marathi while he will also write and direct I LOVE YOU in Hindi. The cast and other credits of the three films will be finalised by 15th March and the shooting will commence soon for all the three films which will be also released in 2017 all over.

Madhu Anand Chandhock, who was seen in films like 2 States, Neerja and an international series Tujhse Hai Raabta, is making her television debut in a Zee TV show titled ‘Bin Kuch Kahe’. She is playing a pivotal role of Mrs Sharma.
Talking about her role and the shoot of her daily soap, she said, “This is my first baby step for the small screen. I am enjoying the shoot, and have been praised for portraying a strong character. My character is that of a mother of 2 lead boys Nikhil (played by Shivam Sood) & Akshay (played by Nikhil Sabharwal). Celebrated actor Bharat Pahuja is playing Mr. Sharma, my reel husband.
“It’s a learning experience for me. Shooting for movies is different and somehow I feel shooting for a TV serial is more difficult . There are wide shots, close ups, lot of takes & retakes. Couple of days ago, we had an outdoor scene where we (the Sharma family) shot in the chilly winters of Jaipur which was recorded at 6 degrees and the duration was from early morning till late night at 2 am. Since we are seen welcoming summer which is India’s current climate it was even more challenging to shoot without warm clothes”, she added pointing out the difference between working in a film compared to a daily soap.
On the bond of the cast & crew, she quoted, “All the unit members & co-actors are very humble and supportive. We are like one big family now. Infact, on the occasion of Lohri, I invited everyone for the celebrations. Finding the joyous gathering suitable, I had also written a poem & recited it for everyone. I clearly remember our producer, Rajshree Ojha being appreciative of my other talent.”
Currently, the shoot of this 157 episodes long series is going on in Jaipur on a glamourous set specially made for this show at Zee Studio Premises.

होली पर रिलीज हो रही बहुचर्चित फिल्म निरहुआ सटल रहे का फर्स्ट लुक रिलीज़ कर दिया गया है । फर्स्ट लुक देखकर ही अंदाज़ा लग जाता है कि निरहुआ सटल रहे मनोरंजन से भरपूर फिल्म होगी ।पोस्टर में निरहुआ एक खाट उठाये हुए हैं जिसपर आम्रपाली लेटी है और उसके ऊपर से हवाई जहाज उड़ता हुआ दिखाई देता है । भोजपुरी की आम फ़िल्मी पोस्टर की तरह ना तो इसमें आग का गोला ही दिखता है और ना ही खून से सना नायक या खलनायक ही । इस फिल्म में दिनेश लाल यादव निरहुआ और आम्रपाली दुबे की जोड़ी है । मुस्कान मूवीज इण्डिया प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के बैनर तले निर्माता नासिर जमाल व आसमा जमाल की इस फिल्म के निर्देशक हैं मोहसिन खान । युवा निर्देशक मोहसिन खान इस फिल्म से भोजपुरी फिल्म जगत में पदार्पण कर रहे हैं । दिनेश लाल यादव निरहुआ अपनी इस फिल्म को लेकर काफी आश्वस्त दिख रहे हैं ।
उन्होंने बताया कि निरहुआ सटल रहे की कहानी जब उन्होंने सुनी तो उन्हें लगा अगर इस कहानी पर फिल्म बनी तो निःसंदेह भोजपुरी फिल्मों में एक नए दौर की शुरुआत होगी । निरहुआ सटल रहे के टाइटल के संबंध में उन्होंने कहा कि एक तो यह टाइटल भोजपुरिया क्षेत्र के बच्चे बच्चो तक की जुबान पर है दुसरी बात ये की यह कहानी इस टाइटल को जस्टिफाय भी करती है । उन्होंने बताया कि निरहुआ सटल रहे से भोजपुरी को एक और प्रतिभाशाली निर्देशक तो मिलने जा ही रहा है , साथ ही भोजपुरी फिल्मों का एक नया दौर भी शुरू होने वाला है । निर्देशक मोहसिन खान के अनुसार निरहुआ सटल रहे पूर्णतः एक मनोरंजक फिल्म है । उन्होंने कहा कि निरहुआ सटल रहे एल्बम के गानो को कहानी के रूप में पेश कर एक नया प्रयोग किया गया है ।
भोजपुरी की बहुचर्चित फिल्म पहली नज़र को सलाम के रिलीज़ की तारीख ज्यों ज्यो निकट आ रही है , फिल्म को लेकर दर्शको में उत्सुकता उतनी ही बढ़ गई है । इस शुक्रवार 24 फरवरी को रिलीज हो रही इस फिल्म का पोस्टर बिहार के कोने कोने में चिपका है । राजधानी पटना और सभी प्रमुख शहरो में तो होर्डिंग और पोस्टर की भरमार है । बिहार में फिल्म के वितरक माँ सोना फिल्म्स के राकेश कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि फिल्म के गानो और सिनेमा घरों में चल रहे फिल्म के ट्रेलर पर दर्शक काफी तालियां बजा रहे हैं । इस फिल्म से भोजपुरिया परदे पर उतर रहे और भोजपुरिया धनुष कहे जाने वाले अभिनेता राज रणजीत के संवाद अदायगी और अंतरा बनर्जी के साथ रोमांटिक दृश्यों पर भी दर्शको का बेजोड़ प्रतिसाद मिल रहा है । रिलीज़ से एक दिन पूर्व पटना के सिनेपोलिस में पहली नज़र को सलाम का प्रीमियर रखा गया है जिसमे बॉलीवुड के मशहूर अभिनेता रहे जीतेन्द्र सहित कई कलाकार मौजूद रहेंगे ।
