Hyderabad (02.11.2017): A grand meet of movers and shakers from over 100 countries was held as a part of the third edition of Indywood Film Carnival, a flagship event organized by 10 billion US dollar Project Indywood. The event was organized to accelerate foreign direct investment in entertainment sector in the country.
UAE-based NRI industrialist Sohan Roy spearheads Project Indywood which is being promoted by 2000 Indian billionaires and corporates. Indywood Film Carnival positioned as one of the largest film based events in the world has been started at Hyderabad-based Ramoji Film City, the largest film studio in the world.

Indian Billionaires Club launched
More than 50 billionaires of Indian origin and over 500 investors from across the globe attended the inauguration of Indian Billionaires Club on Friday at Princess Hall, Ramoji Film City. Commenting on Indian Billionaires Club, Sohan Roy who is also the Founder Director of Indywood highlighted that Indian Billionaires Club is a novel initiative to attract tycoons, investors and corporates from across the world to entertainment industry in India.

Kochi (28-12-17): All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF), the film festival arm of 10 billion US dollar Project Indywood, has announced that the national award winner Balachandra Menon, a multifaceted personality in Indian Film Industry, as the Festival Director for the fourth edition of ALIIFF.
The film festival titled ALIIFF 2018 will be held as a part of Indywood Film Carnival at Hyderabad in December 2018. Balachandra Menon has directed 39 movies and acted in over 100 movies.
Balachandra Menon – Jack of all trades
Balachandra Menon holds a unique world record for handling various sections in film. Apart from acting he has done direction, script writing, story and dialogues in 29 films. American director Woody Alan is in the second position with 26 films. In 2007, the nation honored him with prestigious Padma Shri for his valuable contributions to Indian cinema.
“Balachandran Menon is the pride of Indian cinema. He has played an instrumental role in defining the cinematic culture of India. The Indywood Film Carnival aims at integrating the entire Indian Film Industry under one umbrella as a single structured industry to overtake Hollywood within the next five years, with an investment of Rs 70,000 crore by a consortium of 2000 Indian Billionaires and Corporate under the guidance of KPMG.
One of the major attractions of the Indywood Film Carnival 2017 was also the inauguration of the Billionaires Club on December 1. More than 50 billionaires and tycoons from 100 countries attended the event.
The Project Indywood has been conceptualized by globally-acclaimed filmmaker Sohan Roy, who looks to make sweeping and revolutionary changes in the production, screening and marketing strategies as well as business model of the Indian cinema. The successful completion of this five year project is expected to elevate Indian Film Industry to global standards.
