It appeared liked fairies descended on the ramp at the India’s Super Model event held during India Fashion Festival along with India’s Beautiful Face which was held in Goa from 27 – 30 November.
Tejasvani Solat, Megha Verma and Sheetal Sinhawere crowned India’s Super Models from the 15 finalists chosen out of 3684 contestants all over India. The performances were choreographed by Sanjay Kannan and Sunman Gawada (National director – India for the Dubai fashion week).
Hasnain Hyderabadwala the acclaimed film director of films like The Train, Jashnn, The Killer and Ya Rab judged the winners along with actress Arjumman Mughal, Vishal Trehan (National Photography award winner) and Fashion designer Vijeta Kapoor.
Upcoming events of India Fashion Festival organized by Rajat Suneja will be Fashion Week (biannual) and the yearly India’s Super Model, Miss India International, Mrs India International, India’s Beautiful Face pageants.
“Having organized several successful events for our clients since years, we thought why not create our own property brands which would give a platform to a lot of fresh hidden talent, hence we conceptualized India Fashion Festival,” revealed Rajat Suneja, a Raipur based Transport businessman who desires use the proceeds of these events for the social cause of encouraging Girls Education across India, our PM’s pet mission.
Naghma Khan of Shaaz Media who handles the PR of India Fashion Festival mentioned, ”IFF is promoting models and fashion designers who do not get a platform to showcase their hidden talents.”
As we have entered the last month of the year, 2017 has almost come to an end. India’s prominent and renowned distributor, producer and founder of Cinekorn Entertainment Kalapi Nagada, shares his views on the films which were expected to do average business but turned out to be box office successes and films which failed to leave a mark at the box office.
Discussing some of the films which were surprise hits, Kalapi says, “Films like ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhan’ which were small budget films depended heavily on word-of-mouth publicity for them to do decent business. These films fetched some really good business and turned out to be box office hits. The film ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ made on an extremely small budget with limited screens for exhibition did good business too.” He further adds, “A film like ‘Newton’ which had a very limited release due to multiple films releasing on the same day witnessed tremendous box office growth due to good reviews, word-of-mouth publicity and the fact that it was India’s official entry to the Oscar’s.”
Talking about some of the films which had a positive buzz around them with very high expectations from trade analysts and the public but eventually failed at the box office, Kalapi states, “A film like ‘Begum Jaan’ generated a lot of buzz around itself with Vidya Balan promoting and raising the bar for the film. The promos too received a positive response which eventually helped the film get decent first day collections but all of that could not help the film from failing. Also he mentions about high-end films like Tubelight, Harry met Sejal and Baadshaho which were most awaited films of the year with very popular superstars as its leading men and released on max possible screens across the country but they were failed to recover expected revenue from the box office.
Kalapi further adds, “Films like ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ which had limited number of screens for its release, ‘Raabta’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’ failed to deliver due to negative reviews and word-of-mouth publicity.” When asked about his expectations from 2018, he says that the films which have recently released towards the end of the year are doing good business and will help flourish the growth of the entertainment industry and is positive about the business ahead with some good content-driven films lined up for 2018.

साहिल खान को मुंबई में दूसरे सप्ताह में भी मिला दर्शकों का प्यार
सिनेस्टार साहिल खान स्टारर को मुंबई के सिनेमाघरों में दर्शकों का खूब प्यार मिला है। बिहार में सफल प्रदर्शन के बाद मुंबई और गुजरात में रिलीज की गई भोजपुरी फिल्म गैंग ऑफ सिवान को सिनेमाघरों में दूसरे सप्ताह में भी अच्छा प्रतिसाद मिला है। फिल्म ‘गैंग ऑफ सीवान’ की स्टोरी लाइन भी कुछ ऐसी ही है, जिसने इन दिनों भोजपुरिया बॉक्स ऑफिस पर धूम मचा रखा है। यहां भी दर्शकों को फिल्म काफी पसंद आ रही है। राजू चौहान निर्देशित फिल्म ‘गैंग ऑफ सीवान’ में साहिल खान के अभिनय की जमकर तारीफ किया है। फिल्म के नायक साहिल खान मसीहा के किरदार में हैं। साथ ही प्रिया शर्मा की अदाकारी भी दर्शकों को पसंद आ रही है।
साहिल खान ने इस फिल्म को लेकर कहा कि ये दर्शकों का प्यार ही है कि उन्हें हमारी फिल्म पसंद आ रही है। एक्शन बेस्ड इस फिल्म में गाने भी काफी अच्छे हैं और फिल्म में इमोशन भी खूब देखने को मिलेगा। वहीं फिल्म के निर्देशक राजू चौहान ने कहा कि फिल्म की कहानी काफी अच्छी और मनोरंजक है। इसमें साहिल खान ने लाजवाब अभिनय किया है। इन्होंने सेट पर भी खूब पीसना बहाया है, तब जाकर हम एक सार्थक और इंटरटेनिंग फिल्म बनाने में कामयाब रहे। उन्होंने कहा कि ‘गैंग ऑफ सीवान’ बिहार में रिलीज हो चुकी है, जिसे दर्शकों ने खूब प्यार दिया। मुंबई में भी फिल्म रिलीज हुई है।

पवन सिंह ने मनाया अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी का जन्मदिन वांटेड के सेट पर
भोजपुरी माटी के लाल पावरस्टार पवन सिंह ने भोजपुरी फिल्म वांटेड की शूटिंग के सेट पर पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री भारत रत्न अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी का 93 वां जन्मदिन धूमधाम से मनाया है। उनका जन्मदिन बहुत ही हर्षोल्लास के साथ फिल्म के निर्माता, निर्देशक सहित पूरी यूनिट ने जमकर पवन सिंह का साथ दिया। फिल्म के निर्माता जसवंत कुमार हुए निर्देशक सुजीत कुमार सिंह ने हार पहनाकर स्वागत व सम्मान किया।

यू ट्यूब पर सिपाही का जलवा 35 लाख तक पहुचा व्यू
जुबली स्टार दिनेश लाल यादव निरहुआ और लकी अदाकारा आम्रपाली दुबे की प्रेमांशु सिंह निर्देशित, बॉक्स आफिस पर धमाल मचा चुकी सिपाही क्रिसमस की पूर्व संध्या पर डिजिटल प्लेटफॉम यू ट्यूब पर वेब म्यूजिक कंपनी द्वारा रिलीज की गई ।

भिखारी ठाकुर पर कल्पना का शोध रंग लाया
संगीत नाटक अकादमी ने किया बड़ा आयोजन
गायिका कल्पना पटवारी ने भोजपुरी के लिए जो त्याग किया, तपस्या की, वह अतुलनीय है। तीन दर्जन भाषाओं में गा चुकी कल्पना ने जंग खाती भोजपुरी को तीक्ष्ण धार देने का प्रण लिया, यह त्याग किया। चकाचौंध भरे कैरियर को विराम देकर भोजपुरी के स्वर्णिम इतिहास को प्रतिष्ठित करने हेतु लगी रहीं, यह तपस्या की। बिन साधन की साधना को सफलीभूत कर कल्पना ने पूर्वांचल की आंचलिकता को पंख लगा दिया। आज की यह उड़ान उसी प्रयास का मूर्त रूप है।
संगीत नाटक अकादमी, नयी दिल्ली द्वारा भोजपुरी गीत, संगीत, साहित्य के पुरोधा पुरूष भिखारी ठाकुर का सम्मान कल्पना पटवारी द्वारा किए गए प्रयासों का प्रतिफल है। असम कन्या कल्पना भोजपुरी की फसल काटनेवालों के लिए मिसाल बन गई। सन् 2015 की बात है, जब कल्पना पटवारी ने एम टीवी के कोक स्टूडियो मंच पर बिरहा गाकर भोजपुरी को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पहचान दिलायी। इस उपलब्धि में कल्पना के पति परवेज़ पटवारी का सहयोग अमूल्य रहा। प्रथम बार भारत सरकार की सरकारी संस्था (संगीत नाटक अकादमी) ने भोजपुरी को अपने एजेंडे में शामिल किया है।
कल्पना पटवारी पंद्रह वर्ष से भोजपुरी में लगी हुई हैं। भिखारी ठाकुर के गीतों को नये आयाम देकर जन जनतक पहुचाने में इनका योगदान स्मरणीय रहेगा। ‘बेटी बेचवा’, ‘बिदेसिया’, ‘गबरघिचोर’ को लोग भूल चुके थे। भिखारी ठाकुर की एक सर्वप्रिय गीति नाट्य “गंगा स्नान” पर वह काम कर रही हैं और इसे गंगा गान के रूप में प्रतिष्ठित करने हेतु प्रयासरत हैं। भारतीय जैज़ संगीत के सर्जक कहे जानेवाले लुई बैंक्स इस प्रोजेक्ट में इनके साथ हैं। इस गीत को बिग बी (अमिताभ बच्चन) के स्वर में रिकॉर्ड करने की भी मंशा है। विस्मृत पड़ती जा रही सोंठी, बिरहा, सोहर, मंगल गीत, जन्म गीत, संस्कार गीत सब को अपने मंचीय कार्यक्रमों की शान बनानेवाली इस मूर्द्धन्य गायिका ने अपना मूल्यवान समय भोजपुरी के शोध, संवर्द्धन में लगा दिया।
भिखारी ठाकुर को प्रायः दो अवसरों पर याद किया जाता है। पहला जन्म दिवस 18 दिसम्बर और दूसरा देहावसान दिवस अर्थात 23 अप्रैल। लेकिन, कल्पना के मन प्राण में तो भिखारी (ठाकुर) और भूपेन (हजारिका) बसते हैं। भला उनको कैसे विस्मृत कर सकती हैं !? वह भिखारी ठाकुर के पैतृक गांव कुतुब पुर (छपरा, बिहार) भी घूम आती हैं । एक ओर वह लंदन यात्रा के दौरान शेक्सपीयर का घर देखने यह सोचकर जाती हैं कि अपने इस भोजपुरी साधक के गांव को, घर को क्या क्या रूप दिया जा सकता है। भोजपुरी को कई राष्ट्रीय स्तर के ख्यातिलब्ध मंच पर प्रतिष्ठित करने का श्रेय भी कल्पना पटवारी को ही जाता है। एन. एच. 7 वीकेंडर (कोलकाता, बंगलोर, पुणे, मुंबई से संचालित), सुला फेस्टिवल (पुणे), जोधपुर इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल, राजस्थान इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल, जयपुर, पैडी फील्ड्स (नेस्को द्वारा संचालित), मेला फेस्ट (नॉर्वे), फ्रॉग फेस्ट (मुंबई) आदि कुछ वैैसे ही मंच हैं जहाँ वह भोजपुरी में विलक्षण प्रस्तुतियां कर चुकी हैं।

रवि किशन को उत्तर प्रदेश गौरव सम्मान
भोजपुरी फिल्मो के मेगा स्टार रवि किशन को पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी के जन्मदिन के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित समारोह में उत्तर प्रदेश के राज्यपाल राम नाईक के हाथों उत्तर प्रदेश गौरव सम्मान से नवाजा गया । उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ में आयोजित इस समारोह में सूबे के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के अलावा राजनीतिक व मनोरंजन जगत की कई नामी गिरामी हस्तियां मौजूद थी । उल्लेखनीय है कि अटल बिहारी बाजपेयी के जन्मदिन के अवसर पर उनकी कविताओं का पाठ भी किया गया ।
