Delhi based designer Seema Kashyap spread her magic overseas at India Fashion Week London.
Third season opening of India Fashion Week London was by Seema Kashyap’s label “The Front Row”. Her label is known for collection of western high couture garments. Miss India Elite Bhavyata Sharma became the stunning showstopper for The Front Row Designs.
The inspiration behind her collection comes from line
by “Lord Byron in his poem “She walks in beauty”
“She walks in beauty like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes”
When asked about the same she described her collection like the unnamed woman in the poem who is though in mourning yet looking eye-catchingly beautiful.
The collection is in hues of a striking star spangled starry night. It encompasses the “best of dark and bright”- Opulent as well as mellow, eye-catching yet elegant. Its a perfect example of classic designs with an edge which is bold yet tender. TFR collection is a beautiful amalgamation of silk, soft and drapey tulle and lace accompanied by sequinned and thread work embellishment.

India Fashion Week London recently concluded its third season.
Renowned Choreographer Lokesh Sharma from Delhi was appointed for the third consecutive season.
Lokesh Sharma is a Fashion Show Choreographer and Show Director who has been directing and choreographing shows like Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Doha for the three seasons continuously, and has also directed India Fashion Week Dubai, Shop Qatar Fashion Show Doha, Asian designer Week India, India Fashion Week London and many more to add in the list with leading Indian, Qatar, Dubai, Pakistan and London-based designers, followed by Indian National Pageants too.

Shaina NC inaugurates Isha Dalal’s AERIAL VIEW LANDSCAPES Art Exhibition
Colabaarts opened their show “AERIAL VIEW LANDSCAPES ” at Jehangir Art Gallery. The show was inaugurated at the hands of Honourable Ms. Shaina NC ,BJP spokesperson Maharashtra and Fashion Designer. Ms.Shaina was seen as enjoying the beautiful art on display and spoke extensively on the need to encourage fresh talent in Mumbai. It was a grand affair attended by dignitaries, noted artists and art enthusiasts.
Colabaarts, started by art lovers Pallavi and her husband Sumit Sabnis, introduced their young and budding artist Ms. Isha Dalal, who has displayed her abstract representations of the aerial view making this a not to miss event.
Colabaarts are known for giving the right platform to new and upcoming artists from various parts of the country.The show was very well received and attented by senior artists like Mr.Prabhakar Kolte, Mr.Anil Naik, Vipta Kapadia, Devyani Pariekh, Neeta Pathare and other artists such as Raosaheb Gagare, Shekhar Khanzode, Hemant Sonawane, Anuja and Manoj Paturkar, Chandrakant Waghmode and many others. Apart from these, Isha’s parents Mr. Dhiren and Divya Dalal and other noted personalities attended the event.The show is ongoing at Jehangir Art Gallery till 13 Nov from 11am to 7pm.

Young creative interior designer Umera Barudgar, a final year student of Raffles Design International has designed the landscape of this garden which will have four different types of Water Fountains.

The Life in the Theatre Award 2017 to PadmaShri Arun Sarma (Posthumously)
November 5, 2017, Guwahati: The second season of G Plus Guwahati Theatre Festival concluded on today (Sunday) with Atul Kumar’s Piya Behrupiya, with brilliant performances by Trupti Khamkar, Dhvani Vij, Manasi Multani and others. The play, a Hindi translation of Bard’s famous comedy play, Twelfth Night, is a nautanki musical that has many folk songs performed by the characters with a unique Indian flavour.
The festival which was held from the 1st to the 5th of November also featured plays like Quasar Thakore Padamsee’s Mother Courage and Her Children, Alyque Padamsee’s Broken Images, The Gentlemen’s Club aka Tape by Sheena Khalid, Puja Sarup, Rachel D’souza and Vikram Phukan, Rajat Kapoor’s What’s Done is Done and Piya Behrupiya by Atul Kumar.
The Life in the Theatre Award 2017 was presented posthumously to PadmaShri Arun Sarma, who had made all of us proud with his distinguished work in numerous capacities. He was one of the most celebrated playwrights of Assam and was particularly known for his unconventional plays with elements of drama.
Keeping its first season’s appeal intact, the festival has been a major success as it saw a turnout of over 5000 people in a span of five days with the audience also looking forward to the festival returning for the next year. “It has been highly encouraging to see such a huge turnout each day, making this the landmark theatre event of the city. We are already looking forward and planning for the next edition in 2018 and hope to make it even bigger, better and all-encompassing,” said Sunit Jain, Managing Director & Publisher of G Plus and Festival Chairman.
The Guwahati Theatre Festival was inaugurated by Dr. Ashish Malakar – CEO, Apollo Hospitals Guwahati, Mr. Vineet Grover – Regional Head, Pernod Ricard, Mr. Biplabi Patnaik – Circle Head, Axis Bank and Mr. Dipankar Ray – Executive Director, Indian Oil. The festival has been organised by in association with Apollo Hospitals Guwahati, supported by Ballantine’s, Servo from Indian Oil, Axis Bank, All Ladies League, Hastakshar, powered by Assam Tribune and partnered by Radio Mirchi and Outreach Advertising. The Guwahati Theatre Festival also featured four workshops conducted by Quasar Thakore Padamsee, Bhavna Pani, Trupti Khamkar, Sheena Khalid and Puja Sarup which were attended by over 100 school and college students, theatre enthusiasts and artists. पटना, 21 जुलाई 2017 : मशहूर गीताकार मो. रफी को समर्पित कार्यक्रम ‘एक शाम, मो रफी के नाम’ का भव्य अयोजन सितंबर माह के पहले सप्ताह में श्रीकृष्ण मेमोरियल हॉल, पटना में होगा। आज पटना में संवाददाता सम्मेलन के दौरान कार्यक्रम की सूचना देते हुए ‘एक शाम, मो रफी के नाम’ आयोजक ऑन मौसमी ने बताया कि रफी साहब जैसे लीजेंड ने भारतीय गाने को एक नया आयाम दिया। गायकी के क्षेत्र में उनके योगदान को कोई भूला नहीं सकता। इसलिए पटना में सितंबर माह के पहले सप्ताह में एक शानदार कार्यक्रम रफी साहब को समर्पित होगा।
संवाददाता सम्मेलन में ऑन मौसमी ने बताया कि यह कार्यक्रम पिछले कई सालों से आयोजित किया जा रहा है। वैसे तो रफी साहब की पुण्यतिथि पर हमलोग इसका आयोजन करते हैं। मगर इस बार यह कार्यक्रम सितंबर महीने के प्रथम सप्ताह में आयोजित किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछली बार बिहार सरकार के वित्त मंत्री अब्दुल बारी सिद्दिकी और कला संस्कृति मंत्री शिवचंद्र राम ने मंच से घोषणा की थी कि आगे आने वाले दिनों में सरकार इस कार्यक्रम के लिए अनुदान देगी। मगर वर्तमान समय की राजनीतिक घटनाक्रम के बीच अनुदान नहीं मिल पाया, जिस वजह से यह कार्यक्रम अब सितंबर माह में आयोजित की जाएगी।
ऑन मौसमी ने कहा कि नई सरकार की ओर से अगर ‘एक शाम, मो रफी के नाम’ कार्यक्रम के लिए कोई सहयोग मिलता है, तो ठीक। और अगर इसमें कोई दिक्कत होती है तो फिर हम हर साल की तरह इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करेंगे और पटना में रफी साहब के चाहने वालों को निराश नहीं करेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि 31 जुलाई को देश के एक नायाब सिंगर ने भले हमें अलविदा कह दिया, मगर आज भी वे अपने आवाज के जरिए लोगों के दिल पर राज करते हैं। वहीं, संवाददाता सम्मेलन से पूर्व रफी साहब की पुणतिथि पर आज लोगों ने उन्हें संगीत के जरिए श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की और उनके गानों को गाकर याद किया।

The first edition of India Intimate Fashion Week witnessed a spectacular evening amid much glitz and glamour at hotel Leela in Mumbai on March 18th. The most awaited and India first fashion extravaganza of the year, IIFW turned out to be a grand affair with the super models turning up the heat and setting the ramp on fire. Showcasing the prêt collections of India’s leading Lingerie and Resort wear designers like Nidhi Munnim, Karishma Jumani, Keith Jackson, Rajiv Mehta and jewellery designer Mona Shroff etc. the alluring event concluded on a mesmerising high.
On success of the first edition of India Intimate Fashion Week, Niraj Jawanjal, Founder and Director of IIFW said, “I am extremely glad with the success of India Intimate Fashion Week, which seemed an impossible task when the idea of doing a fashion week dedicated to lingerie and intimate wear came into my mind. The first edition of India Intimate Fashion Week was kickstarted by Sanghai based Fashion Designer of Indian Origin; Keith Jackson who showcased his intimate wear and evening / cocktail gown designs collection under his brand ‘La Joli’. Miss Manipur 2016 Phapha Cara Ge Gachui walked the ramp as showstopper for his fascinating collection . This was followed by a stellar showcase by ‘La Intimo’, a brand that specializes in intimate clothing. La Intimo showcased an elegant collection of undergarments which included both men and women’s wear, showcasing the finest intimate apparel of all shapes and sizes.
IIFW upped the glam quotient with the showcase of a ravishing jewellery line by internationally acclaimed jewellery designer Mona Shroff who brought her fine line of jewellery during the show. Mona mesmerised the show when the stunning models sashayed down the ramp wearing her exquisite jewellery collections along with clothing line of Internationally recognised fashion designer Rajiv Mehta and dancing on the tune of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner Sandeep Batra. To add more to the shows appeal, Bollywood and South India Movie superstar Minakshi Dixit walked the ramp as show-stopper and took everyone by storm with her scintillating look and dance moves.
Mona has earlier showcased her collections in various fashion shows like Lakme Fashion week, India Beach Fashion Show, Fiji resort fashion show, India Fashion Week Dubai and Miss India Pagent. Shroff has been designing for in-house labels of Selfridges (London) and Galleri Lafayette (Paris). She is also the vice president and COO of The World Indigenous Fashion Week (WIFW), and a council member representing India and Hong Kong.

The show was followed by Karishma Jumani, who featured her collection at the French-European-Indian Fashion Week, 2016 in Paris, who showcased her latest resort wear collection of intimate wear ‘FAIRYTALE FLORAL’ under her label ‘La Lencería’. Her collection pairs unusual forms of fresh flora with subtle and elegant style at the India Intimate Fashion Week. Reflecting the ‘Sun’s out, bra’s out’ trend this season, the collection walks you through the untrodden pathway to a secret garden where flowers catch the sunlight through the thicket and sprightly sprigs stretch forth unabashed. Her new season lingerie wear blended with scene-stealing summer hand-painted bras, Formica hand embroidery and softly blossoming luxe lace. Bollywood star Manjari Fadnis walked the ramp as a show-stopper for Karishma, donning a beautiful collection designed by Karishma.

The grand finale of the first edition of IIFW achieved great highs of oomph and allure with renowned designer Nidhi Mumnim’s inspiring swimwear, resortwear and sportswear collection. Her collection was inspired by strange beauty of the deep sea illustrating a dark and enigmatic mood to the line. Tropic inspired beach swimwear abd athleisure looks morph into sophisticated resortwear. Clamarous silhouettes have an elevated premium surf feel, with dark summer palettes uplifted by luminescent pinks and oranges. Her collection included a variety in terms of drapes, cover ups, colourblocks in print, crochets etc. Nidhi’s show was opened by famous Indian model and beauty queen from Odisha, Sushrii Shreya Mishraa. Bollywood actress and model Dipannita Sharma walked the ramp as a show-stopper.
