The film was predicted a sure success by us in our review right from its release. The movie has collected nine crores in just 4 days run, that also due to limited shows.
Looking at the bumper business of the film and on public demand more shows are planned in the coming weeks.

Ho Gaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi stars leading comedians Kader Khan, Om Puri, Raajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, Razzak Khan in the prominent roles. It is an out an out comedy which is being liked by the family audience as well.
Today nobody is happy in the world as each individual is surrounded by one or the other problem and in this tensile atmosphere, Daily Multimedia Limited’s movie Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi provides relief. The film is out-an-out a pure comedy entertainer with good humour and sheer language for which the credit goes to Fauzia Arshi, who has done a brilliant job in her debut directorial venture.
A satire in the comedy genre, the basic plot of the film is about relationships where life can be taught through experiences. The story is tailored around Tom and Jerry concept having 5 Toms and 3 Jerry in the movie. The characters in the film are put into complicated yet humorous situations where they run, chase, fall and again get up in life and in doing so, understands life.
Performance wise, director has handled all the five protagonist Kader Khan, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and Razak Khan perfectly, who have come out with the flying colors. The remaining cast of the movie Chitrashi Rawat as Saara looks charming, alluring and promising. Amita Nangia, Vijay Patkar, Bunty Chopra, Danish Bhat, Amit J and others lend adequate support. Shahbaaz Khan has given a million dollar performance in Maula Maula song which is one of the highlight in the movie.
On production front, film is up to the mark. Technically, story is interesting, screenplay is sharp dialogues are witty, cinematography is eye soothing and editing is brisk.
The film has four songs but pick of the lot is Maula Maula, a sufi song rendered by Kailash Kher and Fauzia Arshi, penned by Allama Iqbal and Amir Khushro, title track Dimaagh Ka Dahi, a peppy, spicy entertaining, written by Shabbir Ahmed in the voice of Kunal Ganjawala and Ritu Pathak regales and worth mentioning is a solo number ‘Kabhi To Sun Ghaur Se’, beautifully penned by Ravi Chopra and sung by Fauzia Arshi is ear pleasing. The last one ‘Baap Hona Paap’, sang by Mika Singh and written by Anees Ali Sabri needs is catchy. The music composed by Fauzia Arshi is very lilting and melodious, she is the surprise addition as a music composer.
As a debutant director Fauzia Arshi is up to the mark and excels in all the departments writing, music as well as direction. The movie is produced by Fauzia Arshi and Santosh Bhartiya.
On the whole, Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi entertains from first to last frame and it is meant for all ages. Surely, the film will make its producers and distributors happy.

To direct a movie is not an easy job and to handle umpteen departments of filmmaking single handedly with perfection is really meritorious, especially for a debutant director and Fauzia Arshi is the one who has proved her talent right from her first directorial venture titled Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi. The film is a sheer comedy, being written, produced and directed by Fauzia Arshi, who has also rendered songs, penned and composed the music.
The film’s cast is unique which includes Kader Khan, Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra, Raajpal Yadav, Razzak Khan, Amita Nangia, Vijay Patkar and others. It is jointly produced by Fauzia Arshi and Santosh Bhartiya.
We met the talented and intellectual filmmaker, who being busy educed some time for the interview at her suburban posh office. A great observer and a highly qualified woman, having rich academic background, Fauzia hails from a non-filmi family and holds number of degrees MBA in Marketing, LLB in Criminology, Masters in Commerce, Masters in English, Masters in Journalism and also completed her phD in Industrial Sickness. Being a COO of Daily Multimedia Limited (DML) and producer of films Fatso and Bhaiyyaji Superhitt.
What imbibed her to take up direction? ‘My various experiences, study of encyclopedia and communicate with people from different walks of life, inspired me to make this film. Moreover, the script and content of my film is original and the character’s doesn’t resemble with any reel, but real life Fauzia reveals’. A one woman show, Fauzia is an instant decision maker and does several things at a time with ease which keeps her identity aloof from other filmmakers.
Making a movie with seasoned comedians wasn’t tough as she have been a professor of management, so to manage people doesn’t trouble her. A part from filmmaker, Fauzia is also a guitarist and painter. With Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi, Bollywood introduces Fauzia Arshi as the combination of first female filmmaker and music director.
Tell us something about your company Daily Multimedia Limited (DML)? “It’s an entertainment company and media corporate house which is involved in producing movies, television content, ad films, documentaries, short films, political campaign and event organizing. Our prime focus is to provide healthy entertainment, that is not socially relevant and commercially viable but, also has global appeal Fauzia expounds”.
