Anand Pandit, a well-known real-estate player, owner of Lotus Group and also an active member of the BJP party, has set up a media house under the banner “Anand Pandit Motion Pictures”. His first and most recent co-acquisition of the blockbuster hit movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 has hit the bull’s-eye at the box office. The movie has not only garnered huge collection but has been greatly appreciated by the audience as well as critics.
Mr. Anand Pandit has been closely associated with the film industry since the last ten years but as a back-bencher. He has been successful in financing many film projects in past. Some of film financed by him, were produced and directed by his close friends from the industry. He added that film industry has become more transparent and structured these days. Many global players are ready to enter the Indian market,looking to the size and potential of it. As the number of multiplex screen gets added,the gross business will jump many fold. Hindi film industry is becoming very interesting business space.
Setting a goal of producing a collection of interesting projects, Anand Pandit Motion Pictures already has 5 big projects in the pipeline, which will be announced very soon. The company is looking forward to co-produce, acquire and distribute some very interesting and big franchise films.

On co-acquiring Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 as his first venture along with Shri Adhikari Brothers, Anand Pandit added, “ In spite of having all newcomers, the movie has exceptionally gathered a good amount of collection at the box- office. I recognized the potential of this franchise after seeing the first installment of this film released 3 years ago. He also added, “I will be unfolding my future announcements & business plans very soon.”

Born in Kolkatta (West Bengal) to a Bengali family, Paoli Dam is a post graduate in chemistry began her acting career in Bengali television serials. Her first small screen appearance was in a TV serial Jibon Niye Kheya for (Zee Bangla) in 2003. Later she did many serials like Tihir Athithi, which ran for six years, directed by Jishu Das Gupta. Dam’s debut Bengali movie was Agnipariksha (2006) in which she played a supporting role. Her next release was Mithun Chakraborty and Rachana Bannerji starrer Tulkaram, followed by I Love You and Hochheta Ki, a comedy of errors wherein Dam was a housewife. It was her fourth Bengali film, directed by Basu Chatterjee.
In 2009, Paoli Dam came into the limelight with Kaalbela, directed by Gautam Ghose which was based on a Bengali novel by Samaresh Majumdar. The movie was based on Naxalite movement (1980) in which she played a girlfriend of a young Naxalite leader. Her performance in the film was whole-heartedly appreciated. In 2011, Dam received International recognition for her role in a Bengali film Chatrak. The film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and also at film festivals in Toronto, UK.
After gaining success in Bengali cinema, Paoli Dam made a successful entry in Vikram Bhatt’s erotic thriller Hate Story (2002) in a sensuous role followed by another Bhatt productions Ankur Arora Murder Case, directed by Suhail Tatari.
Paoli Dam is once again in the news for her bold appearance in the current release Yaara Silly Silly, where Paoli plays a character of a sex worker in the film opposite Parambrata Chatterjee with whom she has worked in several Bengali movies. The chemistry between them has been captured in a beautifully, subtle and hilarious yet intense manner. It is directed by Subhash Sehgal.
