Continuing to develop the cultural relations between Russia and India, Cinemarus production company, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Filmmakers Union, presents the second edition of the international film festival Russian Film Days in the capital of Bollywood — Mumbai. The festival will be held from the 15th to the 18th of November, with the opening ceremony and the screening of the opening film slated to be held at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai and the remaining days of the festival at Cinepolis. The entry to the festival will be free and at a first-come, first-serve basis.
The opening film of the festival is “Very Best Day” (2015, directed by Zhora Kryzhovnikov) will be screened at Royal Opera House. The Indian audience, through this festival, will get to see the best of Russian cinema, spanning across genres– sports drama “Versus” (2016, directed by Nurbek Egen), comedy “Good boy” (2016, Director: Oksana Karas), polar blockbuster “Icebreaker” (2016, directed by Nikolay Khomeriki), comedy “Friday” (2016, directed by Evgeny Shelyakin), drama “Queen of Spades” (2016, directed by Pavel Lungin) and the best Russian box-office movie of 2016 “The Crew” (2016, directed by Nikolay Lebedev) to name a few.
The second edition of Russian Film Days in Mumbai will be attended by actors Catherine Shpitsa, Elena Zakharova, Ieva Andrejevaite, Olga Filimonova, Alexander Pal, Sergey Chirkov, producers Vasily Solovyov, Igor Tolstunov and other filmmakers as well. In addition to screenings, actors and directors will meet with the audience, visit a Bollywood Studio, hold a press conference, a round table, and also host social and business events.
According to Mr. Alexey Govorukhin, Executive Producer, Russian Film Days in Mumbai, “The location of the festival is of prime importance here. Mumbai is the recognized capital of the film industry of India and one of the most important economic and cultural centers of the country. Russian Film Days will contribute to the development of new relationships with the creative and economic elite of the country. It will help strengthen cooperation in the field of film making and also promote cultural exchange and create a positive image of Russia as a strategic partner of India with the help of the language of cinema.”
The first Russian Film Days festival passed in 2015 was mentioned in a joint statement of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the framework of the BRICS summit. After the massive success of its first edition and keeping in mind Russia’s international policy, the second edition is underway on a much larger scale.
Maria Lemesheva, who is the General Producer of Russian Film Days in Mumbai, councilor of administration of the Russian Filmmakers Union and the Editor-in-chief of The Hollywood Reporter Russia says, “Russian Film Days in Mumbai has become a traditional event. Last year, the Indian audience very heartily received the films showcased at the festival. We hope that this year too, the audience embrace the films as enthusiastically, especially because we bring some of the most exciting movies from Russia. Together with our partners we do everything possible to create and deepen the interest of the Indian audience towards Russian cinema and to establish close ties between the film industries of both the countries.”

Hiten Paintal son of veteran actor Paintal (real name Kanwarjit Paintal) is playing lead character in film “30 MINUTES”, a Spectral India Media Management Pvt. His debut film was film ‘Tere Liye’, he quit television in early 2008, and now his upcoming film in lead role on 11th November 2016 is “30 MINUTES”.
Hiten is playing a character who gets sycho whenever he hears a time limit of 30 minutes, due to pressure of his father since childhood, he says it is a thriller film not a horror one and when he received this offer he felt it is one of the best opportunity to prove himself as an actor, whereas he also says beside him onle Ranveer Kapoor and Ajay Devgun would have been perfect option for this character, but producer, director Yesudas BC believed on his talent and he was lucky to bag this role.

Producers Mahesh Sharma and Vishnu Sharma will begin a 15-day shooting stint for Rama Dhanraj Film Productions’ Keep Safe Distance shortly in Kota locales, Rajasthan. Two songs and few crucial scenes will be filmed on the leading pair Jai Yadav and Sagarika. Adi Irani has been added to the cast of the film which co-stars Kiran Kumar,Shahbaaz Khan, Mushtaq Khan, Pradeep Kabra, Kratika Mathur, Sanjana Singh, Atishri Sarkar, Vishnu Sharma,Laxman Singh Rajput, Shilpa Gandhi Writer-Director Raama Mehra is filming many talkie portions on hero Jai Yadav and Sagarika who are in romantic leads alongwith Kiran Kumar, Shahbaaz Khan, Mushtaq Khan, Pradeep Kabra and newfinds Sanjana Singh, Kritika Mathur and Lucy Jha.

Actor & director Kapil Kaustubh Sharma, celebrated his birthday along with his family, friends and the team of his directorial debut Love, Life & Screw Ups!!! His father, veteran producer K.C.Sharma specially came to the party to bless him. Bollywood actors Rohit Pathak is paying tribute to Indian soldiers through his upcoming short film ‘Tum Ho Toh Hum Hain’ directed by Divyansh Pandit. Actor Rohit Pathak dressed in khakee coloured and army-print pants and Shirt loaded with AK -56 is all set to fight for our nation, he laid the wreath in remembrance of all the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the country.
Rohit Pathak who brought up from Army environment, He said, “When Divyansh Pandit narrated me the story of this Short Film and based on Indian Army. I instantly decided that I will do this film. I can do any film which has this Uniform reason being I was brought up in the defence environment and I have known Army people very closely. One thing that I have noticed about them which I really like is that they never talk about cast or religion. They never say he is Punjabi or Gujrati or Bihari. When they talk they only talk about Bharat. This film is a Tribute for all the soldiers who gave away their lives for our country. I dedicate it to all the soldiers who are still on the border protecting our country”.
The Film is based Uri Attack, The 2016 Uri attack was an attack by four heavily armed terrorists on 18 September 2016, near the town of Uri in the Indian-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir. It was reported as “the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades. “On true incidents, which is recently happened in Uri we have taken all those stories and made this movie. This is a very credible film, a very real film. Our soldiers lost their lives at the Uri attacks, it is an unfortunate thing and I was surprised to see a lot of people including some of my friends signing petitions against Indian army and many people and politicians questioning the honesty of Indian army…how dare anyone do that. I thought to make a short film to make people realise. As many I can reach…that we are nicely tweeting and sharing our pseudo liberal thoughts is also because of our soldiers who are standing at the borders day and night guarding us. I just need to make a point. Voh hain toh hum hain through my short film ‘Tum Ho Toh Hum Hain’, said Divyansh Pandit.

अपनी दूसरी फिल्म के बारे कानपूर के रहनेवाले निर्देशक विशाल मिश्रा ने बताया -ये एक रोमांटिक लव स्टोरी है। इस फिल्म की शूटिंग नवम्बर के दूसरे हफ़्ते में शुरू होगी।
