‘SOS Nitelife’ successfully organized Queen of Mashups – an exclusive contest for world’s top female disc jockeys – this year as well. The grand finale of the Global Female DJ Championship was held at JW Marriott, Sahar Mumbai.
The panel of judges picked up two joint winners in the contest, which saw 15 participants from different countries. The Queen of Mashups honour was shared between DJ Burlene based in Dubai and DJ Natalia Moon from Australia.
Top 15 female artists performed in the finale which was judged by DJ Akbar Sami, DJ Akhtar, DJ Aqeel Ali and DJ Notorious.
All these talented artists set the stage on fire with their musical numbers but in the end, the judges chose two of the finalists as the winners. The musical evening was attended by several celebrities who were seen grooving to the songs played by these talented ladies behind the music consoles.
Miss Faith from Holland was the first runner-up, Miss Pasha Doll from Russia emerged as the second runner-up, while Miss Donna Amelia from Indonesia was the third runner-up.
After winning the Queen of Mashups 2018, DJ Burlene said, “I am thrilled to have won this championship. India is a lovely country, people are very warm and hospitable here. I am thankful to SOS Nitelife for providing me with an opportunity to perform in front of a wonderful audience and showcase my talent. I am on cloud nine after winning this championship. I also congratulate DJ Natalia Moon for emerging as the joint-winner, she truly deserved it.”
DJ Natalia Moon was equally elated after winning the contest and thanked the judges for choosing her the joint-winner.
“I congratulate DJ Burlene for being a winner and sharing the honours with me. I too thank SOSNitelife and Mr. Chand Seth for putting up such a spectacular event. All the female DJs were simply amazing and the contest was really tough and I feel lucky to have come out victorious in the end. I wish more such contests will be held in the future and I would love to perform in front of such a lovely audience once again,” said DJ Natalia.
Miss Faith from Holland might have ended up as the first runner-up but she wasn’t disheartened and vowed to come back strongly next time.
“Yes, I missed winning the title this year, but I am not disheartened. I’ll come back strongly next time and put up an even better show to emerge as the winner. I would take this opportunity to congratulate Burlene and Natalia for winning Queen of Mashups 2018,” said DJ Faith.
DJ Pasha Doll from Russia on being adjudged the second runner-up said, “I thank the SoS: Nitelife for providing us such a wonderful platform to showcase our talents. I congratulate them for successfully hosting the event. I might not have managed to win it but thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. All the contestants were really talented and the audience was also amazing.”
DJ Amelia from Indonesia, who emerged as the third runner-up, said, “It was an amazing contest to be part of. Competing with such talented ladies at a single stage was like a dream come true for me. I convey my best compliment to the winners. If given a second chance, I’ll definitely put my best foot forward to be crowned as the Queen of Mashups. झारखंड के प्रतिभाशाली कलाकारों को लेकर बनी फिल्म इलाका किशोरगंज का ट्रेलर और संगीत मुम्बई में एक भव्य समारोह में लांच किया गया । संगीतकार व निर्देशक नूतन पंकज की इस फ़िल्म का निर्माण माँ देवरी मोशन पिक्चर्स द्वारा अनुकृति एंटरटेनमेंट प्राइवेट लिमिटेड द्वारा किया गया है। फ़िल्म के निर्माता हैं रूपेश कुमार अग्रवाल , लीलावती , नूतन शंकर , अजय कुमार सिंह और आर के दास जबकि मुख्य भूमिका में हैं रोहित आर के , शिखा स्वरूप , दीपक लोहार , रूपेश चरण पहाड़ी , आनंद कुमार , विक्रम नांगिया , मोनिका मुंडा , इग्नेश सोनकर , लीलावती व बेबी कृति ।

The digital frame of Tiranga Challenge went viral countrywide on Social Media in the ongoing month of August. An idiosyncratic idea was floated through this digital frame of using it along with the profile picture, planting a tree and challenging three other friends to plant a tree. This movement was launched in the beginning of August and rapidly caught attention of hundreds of people on Social Media and they started following it.
Beauty pageants, eminent social workers, doctors, businessmen and professionals from all over India joined this movement and planted a tree to support the cause.
Top 55 people from across the country who helped to spread the movement pan India were felicitated by Noble Asian of the Year award on 15th August at Auro University auditorium, Surat.

Bhaktivedanta Vidyapitha Research Center: ISKCON’s new frontier in the field of Education
With thousands of unemployed engineering, science and commerce graduates and with rampant corruption raising questions about the integrity and work ethics of the employed work force, the nation is looking for innovative and effective alternatives in the field of education.
An initiative in this direction is being taken by ISKCON as it is setting up the BhaktivedantaVidyapitha Research Center (BVRC) for facilitating study, research and application of ancient Indian philosophical traditions and their theology, arts and sciences aimed at development of a holistic and harmonious society.
ISKCON, one of the leading spiritual movements of the world recently celebrated its golden jubilee and in the past 50 years has taken several initiatives for interfacing with the academic community and contributing to the dialogue on world peace, environmental protection and cultivation of human values. Institute of Vaishnava Studies in US, Oxford Center for Hindu Studies at UK, Bhaktivedanta College at Budapest and Hungary, Bhaktivedanta Research Center at Kolkata are notable steps in this direction.
Another frontier in this direction was achieved when the Bhaktivedanta Vidyapitha Research Center at Govardhan Ecovillage in Mumbai was affiliated to Mumbai University as a Research Center in the subject of Philosophy in June 2018. The BVRC has been granted permission to start PhD programs in Philosophy starting from the academic year 2018-19.
The BVRC has been founded by HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj, a renowned spiritual leader, community builder and author. The BVRC began its operations in 2012 and started a two-year intensive study course on ancient Indian philosophical literatures such as the Bhagavat Purana at ISKCON’s farm community called Govardhan Ecovillage in Palghar district of Maharashtra.
Courses run by the BVRC are already in great demand all over the nation and it is running courses in eight cities across India. The BVRC’s academic model is like a lotus with the central whorl as the Philosophy & Theology of the ancient Indian philosophical traditions. The petals represent the fields of sciences such as Ethics, Emotions, Environment, Entrepreneurship and Efficiency etc. and fields of arts such as Sangeet, Nrtya, Natya, Chitrakala, Shilpakala, Yoga, Ayurveda, Vastu etc.
The institute is expected to emerge as a world-class research center in the field of philosophy. Chairman of BVRC Shri Gauranga Das Ji said that BVRC has a systematic program of education and research, with special emphasis on applying the knowledge for betterment of self, society and surroundings.
The institute aims to help students realize their true potential, through a unique educational model which abstracts and applies traditional wisdom for the modern context.
