Preetisheel Singh Designs Dual Looks For South Superstar Vijay

After recently designing mother and daughter looks for Madhuri Dixit for an advertisement, National Award-winning makeup, hair and prosthetic designer Preetisheel Singh, has now designed dual looks for Southern superstar Vijay for his upcoming Tamil flick Bigil.

Preetisheel, who also received rave reviews recently for curating the looks for Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in 102 Not Out, Ayushman Khurrana in Andhadhun and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in and as Thackeray, is excited as the first look poster of Bigil is out.

She has good reason to be. Because Vijay’s look in the film is unlike anything he has done before. The Southern hearththrob will be seen in two different avatars of father and son in the film directed by Atlee and having music by AR Rahman.

“Hours of study have gone into building the character designs,” says Preetisheel. “We didn’t want to lose the authenticity of the character or miss out on the aura projected by the legendary Vijay. Keeping this in mind, for the father’s role, we added wrinkles around his laugh lines and on his forehead, using special-effects make-up. Along with that, we gave him salt ‘n pepper hair which gave a classier touch.”

For his son’s character, Vijay was given “the trendy look that footballers of the current generation carry,” informs Preetisheel. She mentions that the superstar is a pleasure to work with. “Very humble and down-to-earth, Vijay not only showers trust, but patiently allows the team to work without interference. Both the actor and director put full faith in our vision and art, and that has immensely helped,” she concludes.

Apart from Bigil, Preetisheel is looking forward to many films, including the Akshay Kumar-starrer Housefull 4, Kangana Ranaut-starrer Panga, Nawazuddin Siddiqui–Radhika Apte-starrer Raat Akeli Hai and Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore; for which she has designed multiple young and old-age looks for an ensemble lead cast.

Friday 21^st June, London – The fourth Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre Awards (ACTAs) winners have been revealed at tonight’s glittering gala awards night at the May Fair Hotel, London. The evening was hosted by award-winning broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake.

The ACTAs celebrate diverse talent in the arts and entertainment, with categories spanning a wide range of disciplines and showcasing a world of talent. The list of winners for 2019 were another eclectic mix of popular household names and critically acclaimed emerging talents who excel in their respective fields.

Leading the charge of 2019’s winners, the Theatre categories saw some notable triumphs for EastEnders favourite Nitin Ganatra, crowned Best Actor for theatre production ‘End of the Pier’ and Coronation Street actress Shobna Gulati who picked up Best Actress for her role in ‘Richard II’. Acclaimed theatre director Indhu Rubasingham won Best Director for her adaptation of ‘White Teeth’, the best-selling novel by Zadie Smith, whilst ‘Tartuffe’ by the Royal Shakespeare Company picked up the Best Production.

The hotly contested categories for Comedy and Contemporary Music were won by popular comedian Paul Chowdhry and chart-topping producer Naughty Boy respectively whilst the TV and Film acting categories were awarded to Ash Tandon (‘Bodyguard’) and Priyanga Burford (‘Press’).

Star of hit BBC TV show ‘Dr Who’, Mandip Gill won the People’s Choice Award, as voted for by the public, with the Emerging Artist Award going to Antonio Aakeel, star of independent British comedy film ‘Eaten by Lions’.

Amit Roy, Editor-at-Large, Eastern Eye and Chairman of the ACTA judging panel said: “Our winners at this year’s ACTAs are another strong group of talented British Asian artists who have had exceptional success with their respective work in the last 12 months. It is heartening to see the depth of creative talent within the South Asian community and we are delighted to have another list of winners which showcase some of the best of what our community has to offer.

Rio Kids Fashion Week Held In Bangalore

Rio Kids Fashion Week is a National level pageant for Girls and Boys from 3 to 14 years.

The audition for the event happened in Bangalore central Mall Residency road.  Post-audition, they conducted grooming sessions for the contestants by the professional team of experts. Debutante Mohd Javed Will Produce A Biopic On Atique Ahmed Titled – ALLAHABAD

Mohd. Javed, a well known music album producer, is ready to make his silver screen debut with a biopic movie titled — “ALLAHABAD”. It’ll be based and inspired by life cycle and some notable moments as well as incidents of the emphatic politician  Atique Ahmed. In 2004, he won the Phoolpur (U. P.) Parliamentary Seat and was a member of 14th Lok Sabha. (First Prime Minister of our nation, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru was the first Phoolpur MP. ) Atique Ahmed was also got elected Member Of Legislative Assembly Of Uttar Pradesh from Allahabad West constituency. A contractor – cum – builder turned politician Atique has many ups and downs in his public life / career. He’s still imprisoned but claims, he’s trapped. The real face of truth is far different of your imagination. Javed  grabbed Atique’s claims and decided to portay it on celluloid. And finally “ALLAHABAD” announced.

इंटरटेंमेंट की दुनिया में इन दिनों वेब सिरीज का चलन तेजी से बढ़ रहा है और यह लोगों के बीच बेहद लोकप्रिय भी हुआ है। इसी क्रम में अब बिहार में रोमकॉम जोनर की कहानी पर बनी पहली वेब सिरीज ‘लिट्टी वाला लव’ बन कर तैयार है और बीते शनिवार को इसका पहला एपिसोड यू-ट्यूब चैनलLahsun films पर रिलीज़ हुआ। रिलीज होते ही यह वेब सिरीज दर्शकों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित नजर आयी। अब यह यू-ट्यूब पर धमाल मचा रही है और दर्शकों के बीच खूब लोकप्रिय भ हुई।

लहसुन फिल्म्स के बैनर तले बनी इस सीरीज ‘लिट्टी वाला लव’ के निर्माता अंकित भारद्वाज हैं, जो कहते बताते हैं कि बिहारी प्रतिभा हर क्षेत्र में अव्‍वल है। तभी तो हमने जब बिहार का पहला वेब सिरीज ‘लिट्टी वाला लव’ लाया, तो लोगों का खूब प्‍यार मिलना शुरू हो गया है। वेब सिरीज ‘लिट्टी वाला लव’रोमांटिक कॉमेडी है। इसके कुल 6 एपिसोड्स होंगे, जिसके लेटेस्‍ट एपिसोड हर शनिवार को Lahsun films पर अपलोड होंगे।

उन्‍होंने बताया कि  ‘लिट्टी वाला लव’ पटना के ही एक युवक नंदन की कहानी है, जिसे माउंट कारमेल में पढ़ रही नूपुर से प्यार हो जाता है। नूपुर,नंदन को फेसबुक पर मिलती है, जिसे पाने के लिए साथ देता है उसका बचपन का दोस्त लल्लन। कहानी को और रोमांचक बनाते हैं सीरीज के प्‍योर पटिनिया स्‍टाइल में डायलॉग्स, जिसे इस वेब सिरीज के किरदारों बखूबी डिलीवर किया है। हालांकि सीरीज भले ही पूरे बिहारी स्टाइल में बनी है, पर बिहारियों के प्रति देश में जो धारणा बनी है, उसपर कठोर कटाक्ष भी करती है।

करीब तीस दिनों में बने इस सीरीज का निर्माण अंकित भारद्वाज और निर्देशन मुस्कान सिन्हा ने किया है। अशेष सिंह द्वारा लिखित इस कहानी में मुख्य भूमिका निभाई है रवि सिंह, मुस्कान सिन्हा और अंशुमन ने। इनके अलावा मनीषा खुरानी, उग्रेश ठाकुर, श्रेयांश रखेजा, सुबोध कुमार सिन्हा और रागिनी सिन्हा भी लीड रोल में हैं।
