भारत की सांस्कृतिक विरासत में गहरी रूचि रखने वाले लोगों के लिए नई दिल्ली के इंडिया इंटरनैशनल सेंटर गैलेक्सी में चल रही प्रदर्शनी लोगों के दिलो-दिमाग पर ख़ूब असर कर रही है और तमाम लोगों को ख़ूब पसंद आ रही है.
द तुली रिसर्च सेंटर फॉर इंडिया स्टडीज़ की ओर से प्रदर्शित की गई ‘सेल्फ़ डिस्कवरी वाया रीडिस्कवरिंग इंडिया’ नामक यह प्रदर्शनी भारतीय सिनेमा और सांस्कृतिक विरासत की समृद्ध परंपराओं की अद्भुत झलक पेश करती है. प्रदर्शनी को क्यूरेट और प्रस्तुत करने वाले नेविल तुली ने इस मौके पर कहा, “इस अनोखी प्रदर्शनी भारत के 200 सालों की कला और संस्कृति के अंतर-संबंधों का अक्स देखने को मिलता है. इनमें से तकरीबन 120 सालों का तो भारतीय सिनेमा का गौरवशाली इतिहास ही रहा हैं.”
उल्लेखनीय है कि यह प्रदर्शनी नेविल तुली द्वारा पिछले 30 सालों में आरकाइव की गईं और बड़े जतन से सहेजी गईं विश्व की सिनेमाई धरोहर की एक छोटी से झलक मात्र ही पेश करती है. इस प्रदर्शनी में दिग्गजी कलाकारों के बीच की केमिस्ट्री को दर्शाने वाली बेहद आकर्षक तस्वीरें, जुबिली ट्रॉफ़ियां और तमाम तरह के वास्तुशिल्पों को प्रदर्शित किया गया है. इस प्रदर्शनी का सबसे बड़ा आकर्षण है निर्देशकों और कलाकारों के रिश्तों को रेखांकित करने वाली खंड. राज कपूर और नरगिस, प्रकाश मेहरा, मनमोहन देसाई व यश चोपड़ा जैसे महान निर्देशकों के साथ अमिताभ बच्चन के रिश्तों के अलावा धर्मेंद्र और हेमा मालिनी के बीच के रिश्तों को भी बड़े ही कलात्मक ढंग से इस प्रदर्शनी में पेश किया गया है.

महावीर जयंती के पावन अवसर पर रिलीज़ होने वाली फ़िल्म ‘द लिगेसी ऑफ जिनेश्वर’, पिछले कुछ हफ़्तों में हुए निराधार प्रतिरोध को कड़ी टक्कर देकर सिनेमाघरों में 19 अप्रैल 2024 को महावीर जयंती के दिन प्रदर्शित की जाएगी। कई लोगों ने इसे सत्य की जीत बताया है । फ़िल्म के निर्माता अभिषेक मालू ने आश्वस्त किया कि ये फ़िल्म जैन परंपरा की अद्भुत और अनकही यशोगाथा को साझा करेगी। फिल्म की टीम ने लोगों से सिनेमाघरों में आने का अनुरोध किया है।
हाल ही में हुए इंटरव्यू के दौरान, अभिषेक मालू ने बताया कि फिल्म को लेकर कुछ असामाजिक तत्वों द्वारा की गई अफवाहें उन्हें परेशान कर रही थीं, लेकिन उन्होंने इसके खिलाफ सख्ती से खड़ा होकर स्पष्ट किया कि फिल्म में किसी भी अभद्र या अनुचित मात्रा में कोई विषय नहीं है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि उनकी फिल्म पर किसी भी प्रकार का बैन या स्टे नहीं लगाया गया था। जो भी समय सीबीएफसी ने रिव्यू करने में लिया, यह वही प्रतीक्षा थी।

उल्लेखनीय है कि प्रदर्शनी को ‘द तुली रिसर्च सेंटर फॉर इंडिया स्टडीज़’ द्वारा क्यूरेट किया गया है जो भारत की 100 से भी अधिक की सिनेमाई विरासत को अनोखे अंदाज़ में पेश करती है. गंगा जमुना, पाकीज़ा और मुगल-ए-आज़म’ जैसी कालजयी फ़िल्मों से लेकर देवी, क्रांति और काबुलीवाला जैसे मास्टरपीस के माध्यम से इस प्रदर्शनी में भारतीय सिनेमा के उत्सवी रंगों की अनोखी छटां देखने को मिलेगी.

प्रदर्शनी देखने के बाद संग्राम सिंह ने भारतीय सांस्कृतिक विरासत की विविधता और इसकी गहराई की जमकर प्रशंसा की. उन्होंने कहा, “इस ख़जाने का साक्षी बनते हुए भारत के समृद्ध इतिहास और अद्भुत रचनात्मक विरासत के दर्शन करना मेरे लिए काफ़ी प्रेरणादायक अनुभव रहा. यह प्रदर्शनी सही मायनों में भारत की आत्मा की झांकी को प्रस्तुत करती है.”

‘द तुली सेंटर फॉर इंडिया स्टडीज़’ की ओर से आयोजित इस पहली प्रदर्शनी में मूल कलाकृतियों, शिल्पकृतियों, स्मृति चिह्नों व आरकाइव्स के ज़रिए भारत की सांस्कृतिक और समृद्ध सिनेमाई विरासत व इतिहास को बड़े ही कलात्मक और रोचक ढंग से पेश किया गया है. नेविल तुली द्वारा स्थापित सेंटर में आयोजित यह प्रदर्शनी भारतीय और विश्व सिनेमा, फ़ाइन और पॉपुलर आर्ट्स व क्राफ़्ट्स, फ़ोटोग्राफ़ी, वास्तुशिल्प से जुड़ी विरासत, पशु कल्याण, पारिस्थितिकीय शिक्षा और सामाजिक विज्ञान की विविधता के माध्यम से लोगों को भारत की बहुमुखी पहचान से अवगत कराने का प्रयास करती है.

Recently, Commonwealth Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Sangram Singh and his actress wife, Payal Rohatgi, found themselves enthralled by the mesmerizing 150-year-old Cinema & Art memorabilia exhibition at the Tuli Research Centre for India Studies.
