THE MERCHANT OF VENICE ( in English) -In 16th century Venice, when a merchant Antonio defaults on a large loan borrowed for a friend Bassanio, from a Jewish moneylender Shylock, the bitterly vengeful creditor demands a gruesome payment instead. Shylock is entitled to a pound of Antonio’s flesh.
