Bollywood films and real life have a lot of time taken inspirations from one another and many a times a story or characters seem to be travelling parallel….the 90’s had a lot of action both on and off screen and the Police Vs Underworld and the latest film that is being made on the real life story of Feroz Kokani – key aide of Dawood Ibrahim.  shooter Rauf Raja, the killing of music baron Gulshan Kumar and several other incidents is Detna Etertainments’ Producer Rahim Khan’s forthcoming film being directed by  Ashok Nanda starring Varun Dhawan, Irrfan Khan in lead roles. The shoot of the film has already begun and recently the historic scene of Gulshan Kumars murder at the Andheri Jiteshwar Shiv temple was shot. Says Director Ashok Nanda, “Apart from the Gulshan Kumar murder scene, a lot of other incidents – riots, gang wars, shoot outs will be included in the film and the interesting part is all will be shot on real locations to give it the authenticity.”

Interestingly, Rauf was out on Parole and had fled to Bangladesh and was in their prisons for staying their without legal papers. The Indian Authorities established contact with the Bangladeshi police and in few days Rauf will be extradited to Mumbai. 28 years young Actor Varun Dhawan will be seen essaying the role of Feroz Konkani who fled from j j hospital after killing two police men in 1999.
Irrfan Khan has played a cop several times, more recently in Jazbaa but this time he feels the challenge is completely different as he will be playing one of the most coveted cops – Rakesh Maria on screen.
